L'Artisan bottle shapes

What's the story behind the different bottle styles from L'Artisan? Why are some the octagonal bottles with round tops and some are the bottles with clicking caps (i think 7 sided?)? Are the rounded style bottles an old discontinued style? They seem to be fading away (only one rounded one on luckyscent.com now).

Yes, the octagonal bottle is the older one and they don't make them anymore.

The new one is supposed to symbolize the "seven corners of the world" from where the exotic ingredients come from.

I like the bottles. I wish they kept the old caps that were rounded instead of those new caps that mimic the general shape of the bottle. The bottles are easy to grip. I never realized how many sides mine have. I'll go check...

There were only four corners of the world last time I checked.

Seven continents of the world would seem and be more logical.

I generally prefer the older round-top style, though the bottle they did for Aedes de Venustas is beautiful--it's their newer 7-faceted bottle, but in frosted purple glass. Very classy.
