Today I Got Rid Of.....

A new thread about bottles that you finally let go of; traded, sold or just found a new home for.
Today, I gave away Escada Pour Homme. I loved it, but never wore it. My Zino covers all of the same bases quite nicely.
Good-bye Escada. It was fun, but it's over now.

Not today, but last time I get rid of
Fig-Tea Eau Fraiche by Nicolai - I just can`t wear it, as my DW could not stand it literally.
Lucifer #4 Damien Bash - did not wear it for ages. Selective rush struck me to buy it

Not too long ago I gave my nephew Live Jazz, Quorum, Paco Rabanne, Curve, and a few others that I can't remember. Good riddance.

I am currently selling...

M7 by YSL - I've come to the conclusion I just don't like this - except in the far drydown. That vile cough mixture note which lasts forever just makes me feel vaguely ill and feel embarrassed in case anyone else smells me. I want fragrances that make me feel great to wear them. This doesn't.

Caron Pour Un Homme - I do like this but just not enough. I've smelled it on other people and it smells great. On me, the opening Lavender burst doesn't shimmer - it's way too dry and the vanillic dry down is way too sweet on my skin - a bit like Givenchy Pi which also doesn't work on me.

Not today, but yesterday I got rid of my bottle of Hanae Mori... gave it away to a bottom feeding pal.

I NEED to get rid of a couple of "dead weight" frags collecting dust at the back of the 'drobe...

Today Im posting my 100ml C&S No.88 to a fellow basenoter who I know will appreciate it more than I.
Couldnt swap it, or sell it... so he's gettin' it for free

Lately I´ve given away (to my dad and friends):
Marco Polo (yellow)
Gucci Envy
Salvador Dali Aqua Verde
Victoria´s Secret Very Sexy for him

Planning on giving away Versace Man.

Reason: Don´t like them enough, and people seem to like getting perfume for free.

Lol, i'll take anything for free

Recently, I posted out a whole goody pack of decants to a Basenoter, and gave a decant of Moss Breeches to a basenoter that previously sent me decants. I recieved a bottle of CdG2 for free (well, practically free..) off a basenoter, was amazing

Now zat reminds me - I should get rid of it, too. Zino never belonged to the inner circle. .

My 3/4 full bottle of Hanae Mori EDP. After being blown away by it, I soon (after purchasing it, of course) realised how it easily bored me. I'll be surviving solely on this (along with a few miscellaneous samples) while in Paris, next month.

Not today, but this week I finally got rid of my still almost full bottle of TdH. Had it for over a year and REALLY tried to like it, but no, this is definitely not for me. Not in cold weather, not in warm weather, not in any weather...

Another one I gave away last week was my bottle of Safari. I tried it recently and decided there and then I was never gonna wear it again.
Nothing 'wrong' with the scent, it's just that I don't like this 'type' of fragrances anymore.

And while I was at it, I also decided my bottle of Xeryus Rouge had to go.
This one I bought because someone wrote in a review that it smelled "exactly the same" as the now discontinued Shiseido Basala.
Well yeah, it does. If you don't mind the ton of sugar they've added, that is!
I never experienced anything quite like this before; the two are indeed nearly identical when it comes to notes, but where Basala stays dry, with all the notes clearly separated, Xeryus Rouge becomes cloying almost from the beginning to the very end. Disgusting stuff. Yuk.

I went on a women's fragrance bender a few months ago. And while it did round out my wardrobe, I acquired a couple of stinkers just because they were cheap. I live and learn by mistakes. Ines del la Fresange is crying out for a new home.

Today I sent my A Men by mail. Not for free.

Having said this, let me say I'm starting the campaign "Make Smeller Happy". I'm gladly accepting donations of Antaeus. If you don't have it, I'll accept Habit Rouge EDC, Equipage, Jules. If you own none of these, but feel some urge of sending me a bottle or even a decant, we can discuss it, if I didn't tried it yet.

PM me if you are that generous. You will be a better person after this.

P. S.: I can reimburse the sending cost if you ask.

LOL your brother-in-law is very lucky!

I've only started a couple of months ago so I can't really give away... but I did give my brother a horrible Adidas (forgot it's name). Too synthetic, too cheap smelling. He seems to like it though.

Gave away both Armani Code & Burberry Brit to my brother in-law. Vanille 44 is a fine replacement for both.
