V Pour Homme Valentino, I love it, any similar fragrances?

Can you suggest similar colognes to V Valentiono pour homme?

I like it, too.

Have you tried Armand Basi Homme, Carlos Santana, Zegna Intenso, Dunhill Desire or Prada pour homme?

I went from "love it" to "hate it" and I'm somewhere close to "love it" again these days. It's fairly unique in my wardrobe though so sadly I can't recommend anything similar.

I find rochas man strikingly similar but some here would disagree. Also try gaultier2... Not exactly the same but contains the same theme- vanilla, amber, and musk

Gaultier2 is great...BUT way too feminine....so feminine i can't get myself to buy it.

The closest I've smelled to "V" is La Prairie's Silver Rain, which would be the closest female equivalent. They both have an unusual "rotting fruit"-like quality.

As far as other men's scents that are similar to V, I couldn't suggest one.

I'd suggest Ignition by Lomani, Carven Homme, and Devotion for men. Not exactly the same, but I like them better that V, which I sampled a couple of weeks ago.

What?!!
V Valentine and Prada Pour Homme?!!

Rochas Man (maybe)

Body Kouros

Lanvin Arpege For Men

...Although, if you have Valentino, why trade down?

I really love it too but cannot find a similar scent at all - it is very special and very ordinary at the same time!?

Does anyone know which ingredients it has - it is not (very strange!?) in the BN Directory?

I think Laura Biagiotti Duo Uomo has a very similar dry-down. Not my favourite any of them, so I didn't try them too many times, but the resemblance is obvious for me.

For someone who really likes V, I'd suggest sampling ST Dupont's Signature.

Its original in its unoriginality (like a Tarantino movie). No scent out there is quite like it, yet many bear a familiar resemblance (Body Kouros, L'Arpege, even Very Valentino).

Cheers,
Al

if you can't find anything else that you like that is similar to it, Marshalls has the very V gift set for 24.99. I comes with a 1.6 oz cologne with a body wash and after shave......

The notes are listed in the following review:

I just tested it the other day. I had a lot on my arms already so I couldn't really get a handle on the top notes but the mid notes and drydown reminded me heavily of Body Kourous.

I think it is the tamarind note that makes it unique, there are very few others with that note.

V certainly is unique. Body Kouros strikes me as broadly similar, but not as interesting. Unfortunately, though I like V, it doesn't evolve well on me - I enjoy it more on others. If anyone's interested in swapping for a 100ml 90% full bottle of V, pm me.

Another vote for YSL - Body Kouros

I have them both, and they are nearly identical.
