The darkest most powerful mainstream scent

Just think of a mainstream scent that the dark forces would wear :P Dark Black Bad and Powerful.
Any advice?

Bvlgari Black
Dior Fahrenheit

Antaeus

I don't know how mainstream these are but they are all dark in their own way. They might be what you are looking for.

Commes de Garcons Tar in their synthetics series is a fine attempt at making something good from things that are really bad. Sulphorous and black.

Le Labo Patchouli 24 is a dark birch tar scent that got lost on the dark side never to find its way back.

Montale Black Aoud has a vampiric quality about the rich red roses backed up with a deep frankincense. Very powerful and dark in an rich way.

I second Antaeus.

There seems to be A LOT of wiggle room re: the definition of mainstream. Montale??
I'm still waiting on my bottle of Encre Noire that i've ordered.....but of the ones i am currently using, i think Fahrenheit is VERY dark, along with Cuiron of course.

Trussardi Uomo
Haha! It seems that in my country we all like it dark!

I'm going to go ahead and through Domenico Caraceni 1913 out there. Not mainstream by any measure, but very dark, rich, and powerful. Immensely complex and beautiful at the same time.

SOme others have not mentioned...

Santos.
Azzaro Pour Homme
Z-14 (or is it Z11?)
Knize Ten

Obviously 4711 or Paris Hilton.

But really, Salvador Dali PH is the ultimate dark and menacing beast, as others have rightfully mentioned. When I sampled it, I was scared it was going to punch me straight in the face. Sure enough, it didn't disappoint. It delivered a strong uppercut straight to my beak, but surprisingly... no nosebleed!

Good choices but they are definitely esoteric, not mainstream.

Something 80's like Van Cleef and Arpels or Jacomo

I'd nominate Michael Storer's MONK. Here are the notes:

Birch tar oil
Frankincense
Civet
Musk
Cocoa absolute
Sandalwood

Argh mateys.

I appologize for this as it is not main stream but, I really have to recommend Black Aoud by Montale. It is the most satisfying, dark and brooding fragrance I have personally come across.

Dali PH is my vote. I only wear it once a year - on Halloween.
