"slowly connecting fragrance lovers from around the world"?

I can't help noticing the pessimistic word 'slowly' in the abovementioned slogan attached to the Basenotes Community site. I think that Basenotes is rapidly becoming THE source of fragrance information worldwide, especially with the latest website revamp. There are active basenoters from Down Under, Britain, Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa, Middle East, North America and South America. Surely, the word 'slowly' can be omitted? What do you think, moderators?

Look at some of the oldest members joining dates. This site has been up longer than you think. It has been a slow process so I do agree with the word choice. This is a huge site with thousands of members who contribute to everything that goes on in Perfume but there are so many sites with information that it is hard to say this is THE site for fragrances.

I like the "slowly" part. It's a process.

I interpreted the *slowly* as a reference to the server capacity. Irony has it that opening this thread took me three attempts
But I agree that Basenotes is THE perfumery networking site.

I have to laugh every time I see it. Maybe I am wrong but it feels very much like the famous tongue-in-cheek British humor of Grant

Not pessimistic to me at all.

+1, I thought it was added when the servers were painstakingly slow, not so long ago.
