Orange Flower, Bergamot, Petitgrain,Lemon, Grapefruit, Sandalwood, Ambergris
A citrus bomb with decent staying power. This is nothing terribly creative, but it smells good and satisfies the desire to be fresh and upbeat. The drydown passes out of the bright citrus territory into a more astringent mode before descending into the base notes.

Ambre Russe

By far my favourite amber fragrace ever made. Nothing comes even close, actually. This is very unique scent that is sweet, sour and salty - it is all there. I love this on summertime, and I`ve noticed that just like Yatagan, this has a structure that is a match made in heaven with beads of sweat.
Ambre Russe brings to my mind sunny day at my favourite beach : The actual point where steamingly hot sand is cut off by the forest line, filled with warm birch trees, firs and pines, and everything that forest holds inside.
The presentation in this is also very beautiful.

Exrrrrrrrrrremely recommended.

Right now I'm just relaxing after work with some nice, earthy Creed Vetiver ('48).

Bulgari PH

I remember smelling this at Saks shortly after its debut and taken aback by its crisp, clean sophistication. After all these years i finally own a bottle, and realize the original is still the best.

After more than one month of rainy days (we really had kind of monsoon season lately hehe) finally it seems yesterday summer boomed out. Today I'm wearing
Vol de Nuit edt (vintage)
and the heat makes it bloom again and again, really nice.

From a sample from my Scentmother ComDiva I am wearing:

Guerlain Jicky

If you like lavender guys there's a reason the ladies are wearing this one.
It's unisex enough that there is no reason you shouldn't be wearing it.
The fan club for this one just added a new member.

...a well modulated, creamy oriental. On me this is SUCH a quality scent - magnolia and tangerine are listed in the notes but it is so structured that neither really stands out. Anchored with amber and a touch of musk I would think - tres elegante

Scent twins with Jock_With_Scents, and my ScentSon SMM and I are each wearing samples from the other today. I'm in CDG Hinoki. Okay, so this stuff is pretty darn amazing. I love the sensation of smelling intense woody notes through crystal clear water. Another one for the wish list!

Notes: Cypress, turpentine, camphor, cedar, thyme, pine, Georgian wood, frankincense, moss and vetiver.

Somerville Metro Man, you make me want to try that scent. I have a ROOT English Lavendar Candle and a room spray that I have to use to scent my bedroom before I go to bed.

Like Silverbullet, I am wearing Idole

It is 68 outside, I am in the car, air conditioning blowing on me. I am in short sleeves, so I sprayed it on my forearms as well as other areas. Wow. I had worn Idole from a sample and wife thought it bordered on soapy. Well, from a spray, it is not. Ladies, this is the scent for a guy. I love Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac because of that fresh tabacco accord. Some fresh colognes can be soapy, or too linen-like. Feuilles is that fresh, green tobacco. Anyway, think of Feuilles as a tomato base for a sauce. Well, Idole is the refined French chef that comes and mixes in a naunced bit of spices, nothing heavy, but spicy. Makes you want to try to pick out the individual notes (which I am so, so bad at). A heavy hand and it ruins the sauce. But in the hands of a master, wow. The spices are piquant, but not in your face like Piper Nigrum. I think this would work in cool to hot weather, all but the winter. Now, admittedly, the air conditioning blew the scent around in the car, but hey, it is me and a 30 minute drive. With long sleeves and business wear, very appropriate for the office. My wife usually does not give a thumbs up to colognes (she loves her Coco, her SPring Flowers - and GIT and MI on me - and that is it) but she smelled it this morning and said, not bad. So that right there is a 7 out of 10 on the meter. Yup, gonna be a good day today.
