Enjoying my new Habit Rouge Eau de Cologne. This is the first-edition bottle - the so-called 'Vetiver atomizer' 110 ml, sold until 1991 - it's actually not round, but oval. This exact bottle is from the late Eighties but has been kept extremely well and it smells like new. I was raised with the EdT version of Habit Rouge, but the EdC is an extremely pleasant version of the scent, less spiky and animalic but still so very much Habit Rouge...

Creed's vintage Tabarome for me today.

Man this is rising to knockout value for me. I don't know why, but sometimes it just doesn't come together for me. Today though, I catch whiff of it and it slices me to peace. It makes my shoulders drop like a loss of tension.

And I'm a long way from the wonderful hints of musk that come in the deep drydown.

Somehow I only think this can be worn with a white shirt or a blue-striped shirt. Can't visualize the smell in any other but this cartoon.

I'm with you my friend! I'm now wearing some Vintage Tabarome... and oh.... I love it... love it... love it....

Such a wonderful and unique fragrance for me, and I am sure it is now my Holy Grail.

YSL PH HC for me today, probably for the last time this season. I've always been a fan of the original, but this past season I've come to appreciate the HC more, as long as it is not applied in warm weather. Still prefer the original, mind you, but the HC is good stuff, with a very nice "dirty" herbal note that makes the scent quite distinctive.

Monsieur de Givenchy

May have a new favorite after only three wearings. Understated and elegant. Marvelous.

I just have to join you guys with Vintage Tabarome as my SotE.

It was my number one fragrance until Giorgio for Men was resurrected. VT is now a solid number two - I don't see it being displaced anytime soon.

I long ago left the world of suit and ties. I dress casually and wear VT often - I think it is more the person than the attire.

Let's see....

I started with Bulgari PH, then I sampled some Floris No. 89 and hit it with another floral which was Bulgari The Vert Extreme.

And now I'm off to bed.
