Which scent gets you the most female compliments? - Page 78

Mandarina Duck Pure Black and Chanel Allure have probably gotten me the most compliments from the opposite sex in my collection and the ever popular YSl L'homme right behind them.

Dior Homme Intense, Tom Ford Neroli Portofino,Creed GIT

Got a compliment almost right after I put AdP Colonia on today. A very simple "hmmm you smell nice"

I agree totally.
I posted something way back on this thread along the lines of, 'no matter what fragrance you're wearing, it all boils down to how approachable you are and your persona in respect of receiving compliments on the scent you've got on'.

This whole thread is missing the point in my view. When one receives a 'compliment on their fragrance', this is more a compliment on you as a person, rather than what juice you've decided to spray on.
You could have on the 'best fragrance in the world' and not receive a single compliment if you were more introverted, unapproachable and perceived as a firm non-social type of person.

In retrospect, if an individual is more extroverted, social and approachable, that person is very likely to receive a compliment on their fragrance no matter what they have on - this is a fact and you only have to look at how many 'generic' smelling fragrances (I'm not a snob, I own many of these!) receive tons and tons of 'compliments' from the ladies.

Conclusion; the fragrance does not garner the compliments, but it's the whole package of you as a person which attracts the ladies to compliment on you!

My only real compliment I got was from Chanel Allure Homme Sport, from a girl I met for the first time. If I have to ask someone if they like the cologne I'm wearing and they say yes, I don't consider it a compliment. Most people I know are generally shy to give compliments so they probably won't say anything even though they like how I smell. A close friend told me her favourite on me was YSL L'homme.

The last few months it has been Creed MI and Cartier Roadster

Acqua Di Gio, Aventus, Marc Jacobs, and Hypnose round up my TOP fragrance I been wearing this summer/spring...After MI and Roadster I would say Marc Jacobs is number #3.

Every time I wear Acqua di Gio. I could have on a scent at triple the cost, double the quality - and not receive as many compliments!

True...I think it's a nice scent but I certainly prefer many others. AdG is like chick crack though! lol

Part of the reason I love Aventus is because I think it's great and so do many others!

I got one today for Noir De Noir. Glad I did too, it's a beautiful fragrance.

i wore alfred sung pour homme to a strip club. it was just an original, exceptional and daringly unique scent that 2 of the strippers left their pole to come to talk to me to ask me what i was wearing.

The other day I went to the zoo. I had sprayed fake YSL L'homme that I had bought in Chinatown for 20 bucks. I got at least 7 female compliments, all from really cute girls around my age (20). I highly recommend buying fake Chinatown YSL. It's the best fragrance investment I've ever made.

I wore Pure Shot to the zoo. Two elephants and a zebra came to talk to me to ask me what I was wearing. It was just so incredibly unique and exceptional.

I wore Pure Malt and I didn't even get a single compliment from a gold fish. I need to find some Pure Shot.

Wore Aventus today on the golf course and one of the lady friends complimented me while driving around in the golf cart. This cologne never disappoints.

This is SO true! And it really speaks to the difference between what we enjoy wearing and what others enjoy on us. I wore Aventus on Friday and was told I smelled nice (Yay for excellent longevity since I'd been wearing 2 sprays of it for over 12 hours at that point), but when I wore Curve the week before, the same woman said "MMMmmmmmmmm." Both were unsolicited compliments, but Aventus costs 10X the price of Curve, and Curve gets just as many compliments for me, if not more.

I'm going to let you in on a trick of the trade, courtesy of the ex-girlfriend of an annoying guy I know. Yeah, he's very much the dates-strippers kind of man. Anyway... these women know that Cologne Guy is usually the mark of someone who A: is desperate for attention, and B: will pay more to get it. For a stripper, that's easy money. Trust me on this. Those two women? They're working. Their job is to spot easy money and find a detail to compliment because compliments = cash. From what I've been told, it's THAT easy.

A little tally since i've started following this thread:
Terre d'Hermes: 3 from different people at different times this year. One was interesting: a lady about 30 feet away from where i was sitting at a computer in a hospital.
Hermes Un Jardin Mediterrenae: 4 (a salesgirl, a man friend, twice, unknowingly, and a lady friend)
YSL Live Jazz: 2
Hermes Gentian Blanche: 4, all from male medical students/doctors
YSL M7: 2 (same wearing)
Kenneth Cole Reaction: 1, some years ago. She kept smelling me and my cap. Two years later when I wore it again she recognized it. more girl-factor than perfume-factor i guess.

I was wearing aventus while on a public transportation bus. The driver, an attractive woman in her 30's, instead of going her normal route, stopped in a parking lot. She stood up and walked to my seat to ask me what wonderful scent I was wearing. I told her Aventus. She wrote it down, went back to her driving seat and continued to drive us to our route.

Magic stuff. Amazing compliments every time.

sampled molecule 01 at a store, on the walk home, a girl passed me, and then walked back to ask me what i was wearing.
another one in a few minutes while waiting to order at starbucks. i don't know about this myself. i can smell it every once in a while and damn it is good when i can smell it but it is so sporadic

My usual compliment getters are Xeryus Rouge, Ferragamo Black and Escada Magnetism, but last week I went on a shopping spree and got myself a bottle of Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin, which I heard about for years but never got it. A week later and I´m really surprised how this anise concoction really attracts both male and female compliments at work.

Got one on Gucci Pour Homme II today . I think it's my first compliment on this one.
I get the most compliments by far from women with SDV. I used to wear it in winter because of the lovely sweetness of it but swap for Aventus every once in a while as well.

Got a compliment today wearing LIDGE.

Recently received a compliment from a 28 year old, brutally honest female friend while wearing Tobacco Vanille. She said "you smell good today" with a smile. It was an overcast rainy day and we were inside so I did good.

Ok, the following is going to sound like it was written by one of those 12 year old hackers that have invaded basenotes after they get home from school, but it's a true story!

I was in a department store and had just sprayed an Aventus tester on my person when a hot MILF walked behind me with her husband and 2 kids. She immediately stopped and said that smells amazing. After I stopped staring at her boobs, I told her it was Aventus and she said "I know".

Hmm, her husband said "what is it" but somehow she knew already? I made her sniff a MI tester and she liked that one too.

Uomo? Moschino got me a rave review from a supremely hot woman I've been flirting with for a while now. She asked me to write the name down so she could buy it and spray it on her pillow at night. I wrote it down for but informed her that it would never smell as good on her pillow as it does on me. We'll see where this goes, but it's been a while since I've gotten that kind of response from any fragrance.

My skin is a very tough sell. However, every time I sit next to a woman lately in church wearing Costume National 21, they swoon---regardless of age! This newcomer to my fragrance wardrobe will now be my "go to" scent. Step aside, Aventus!

Got several compliments from a few Friends and a cute bartender Saturday night wearing Aventus. It just never fails..

Hey man, the other day I wore Pure Shot to the Airport. Two Jumbo Jets and an old Airbus of some sort came over and spoke to me about how uplifting I was smelling. I am telling you, this juice is worth more than gasoline.

Yeah same here, this sexy Lady could smell me from the future and came back to me just to ask what I was wearing. It will be discontinued so she claims.

So anyway, I was wearing Aventus today and this sexay young thang came over and sat on my face. It was exhilarating to say the least as we were both sitting on a public bus and my grandparent were right there sitting opposite me.

Acqua Di Gio can't be beat when it comes to female complements.

Sombre Negra by Yosh. I should point out that the woman in question was nuts, but still, it was nice to get a compliment on a scent I really enjoy.

If you really want to get compliments from girl better use Chanel Allure Homme Sport like I do. Got a lot of compliments from my girl friends, they say that my perfume make me seductive, sexy and mysterious and things like that. I've been using it for some time now and compliments are still flowing in.
Very Sexy for him.

What smells so good here?

Older women (MILF during rented something, tried stay closer to me- it wasn't normal. She didn't ask about- there was too many people and she didn't know me.

CDG x Monocle "Hinoki", hands down. Two women (in two different departments at work) proceeded to buy it for their husbands after asking me about the scent.
