House(s) you are curious about

Thread Starter
I figured this may be an interesting and helpful thread. Yes there is the SEARCH function but it provides answers to other people's questions instead of a personal take. Also this will be amusing at to what people's current passions are. I started by making a point about the search function so people will use it and ask questions that have NOT been answered but also so no pissing contests start with coarse reminders about the search function.

What house are you curious about and looking to try? The one at the top of my list has not been talked about on this forum and is annoyingly difficult to find.

Nez a Nez

Others that I've been avidly reading about and am anxious to try are Parfums Generale, Micallef, Biehl Parfumkunstwerke, Odori, and Profumum.

Cheers,
Al

Incidentally, I can piss up to 100 meters away. So don't even think about it. ;^)

Histoire de Parfums

I recently had a chance to sample their 1740 (Marquis de Sade) fragrance and thought it was FANTASTIC! I really want to try out the rest of their line including:

1969
1725 (Casanova)
1828 (Jules Verne)
Noir Patchouli
Ambre 114

I'd like to try more from Il Profumo, Parfumerie Generale, and CdG.

There's been so much Montale talk lately I had to go ahead and order 10 different samples from lucky scent.

Likewise with Eccentric Molecules, Parfumerie Generale and Bois 1820 (samples coming!)

I had been on a Bond No 9 Kick for a while, but thanks to my samples I know what to invest in, and I was lucky enough to check out the entire Ineke line and Hermesscence line a couple weeks ago in Boston.

I just ordered my first Editions de Frederic Malle samples from Paris and I'm also interested in M. Micallef and Scents of Time ... and now that I've read this thread, Histoire de Parfums. I also want to try some more Montales since I've just started exploring that house.

Bond No. 9 (Too expensive in Germany, and no store near Weimar seems to have it in stock.)

Mazzolari (Seems to make some powerful scents, especially Lui.)

Nasomatto (The same here. Basenotes has raised my interest in Duro.)

I'm really intrigued by the Ramon Molvizar line... really nice stuff from what I've tried.

Montale
CdG
The Different Company
Guerlain*

*I just haven't had the time and money to give this Great House the thorough assessment that it deserves.

I don't know anything at all about Montale. I tried Aoud Lime and was completely horrified. It was so frighteningly medicinal. I passed my sample on to Dimitri, who I believe has given it the respectful wearing that it deserves.

Sigh.

I'm a rube. A "well scrubbed rube with a little taste" as Hannibal Lecter would say. And not a whole lot of money, so this hobby is going to be years in the development.

What I really need is a reliable means of obtaining SWAG. How hard do you suppose it is to back-stab, fuck, flatter, and exploit your way to the top of the perfume critic demimonde?

I should probably get right on that.

Diptyque without a doubt has to be the house I'm most curious about right now.
I only own one of their fragrances, and it is the only one I have ever smelled. L'Ombre dans L'Eau. I love it.
From reading the reviews, I am now too *obsessed* with Tam Dao that I would buy two bottles blind. I'm also interested in Philosykos, Ofrésia and Jardin Clos.
