Kama by Ava Luxe: Compare please to these other musks...

I am fond of musk scents although I don't own a lot of them. The only ones I don't like are too too clean "laundry musks". I'm curious about Kama by Ava Luxe and note that on her re-vamped website, there is only one "Kama" and no more "Kama Extreme".

How does Kama compare to Kiehls, or to Musc Ravageur (two musks that I am familiar with)? Is it any funkier, sweeter, etc. Kiehls is probably the musk that feels close to what I really prefer. Musc Ravageur has the tendency on me to put the vanilla a little too much forward until the musk takes over and stand alone, which is about an hour into the drydown.

I have become interested in musks lately too. I also like Kiehl's (oil formulation not EDT) and MKK over Malle's MR.
Recently, I asked the same question on the Female Board. You might want to search it out.
In answer to my question, Kama was highly recommended as an animalic musk.
Also, Madame X was recommended for the same reason and I was told that it would smell nice on a man's skin too.
I think I'll be ordering Kama soon.
Let's see if we have any other opinioins.

Hello Renaissance Man,

I read through the thread you mentioned. I actually have Royal Parvati (wore it earlier this week!) and find it a soft sandalwood, very versatile. Serena sent me a sample of Madame X last year when she was introducing it. I found it more of an oriental than a musky scent. I've also tried Rasa (which also used to be available in an Extreme). I like Rasa but I would need it in the perfume extrait, as the edp lasted very poorly on me.
