2005 2dr cavalier silver. not that nice but it gets my ass to and from work

I'm excited that I drive the crappiest car here... 1990 Toyota Camry station wagon. Ain't glamorous, but it was free and it does what I need it to do: take a lot of abuse and drive me up the mountains to go skiing a bunch of times.

I also have a 2004 Yamaha Vino 125, but I only ride that in the summer.

I currently have Pirelli P-Zero Rossos on the Porsche, but am likely to move on to Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. I haven't decided yet for the Honda, but I need to get them soon before the winter rains hit.

I will say it also, nice X51. As you can tell, I am also a p-car enthusiast (points to my username), hahaha. I know a few people from Rennlist locally, and one had Dunlop Direzza Z1 Stars on his car and man it handled like it rode on rails. I plan on getting a set for my autocross wheels, but we'll see what happens.

I personally own 3 vehicles at the moment.
1991 VW GTI with quite a bit done.

Next is my 1992 VW Corrado SLC..... It's going to be for sale as soon as I do the headgasket on it. First car I had with leather

And lastly is my 2002 Honda CBR F4i. I had a horrific accident on 5/29/09 on it and I do believe keeping it will only remind me of my recovery. 3+ months in a wheelchair and nearly every other day at a hospital or clinic. Yeah, I have other things to remind me of the accident, I don't need another. Here's a picture taken a year ago maybe, with SF in the back.

And here's a pic I have of it just sitting in the garage, all damaged and sad. In laments terms, broken handlebar, one of the engine covers, exhaust, all body pieces except one lol, and a bunch of other things

Hope the pictures work

Porsche 959s are becoming very scarce now. I almost never see them at Porsche Club of America events. Pity. For myself, I chose the 911 X51 performance package as a compromise instead of getting a 996-series Turbo, which was my original target purchase. Once I test drove the 997-series, however, there was no going back. Of course, if I had waited until the 2009 model came out, I could have gotten the extra X51 horsepower as stock and a PDK transmission. I still haven't decided on new tires for the Porsche yet. The Honda's tires are the higher priority, since it is the daily driver vehicle and its tires are currently almost bald. If I don't do something soon, that car's going to become a toboggan on the 405 freeway.

Currently drive a 2002 VW Polo 1.0 manual. Boring. Quite reliable though.

In late January my 2010 Fiesta arrives. Went for 1.4 automatic, 15" wheels. Not very exciting too, but it has a lot more character than most small city cars, and handles fantastic. Still undecided about number of doors.

North Americans get this in the 1.6 variant mated to a dual clutch automatic gearbox. I would have gone for that combo, but it's not available in any part of the world except US and Canada. So unfair.

I'm hoping that before delivery time, VW would have pushed the new Polo in here for some competition. If they decide to go in with the 1.2 turbo engine mated to a DSG for around the price I'm paying for my current Fiesta, then it's very much worth considering. Less character and probably less-satisfying driving experience, but that engine and gearbox are worth the compromise. Those are of course far hopes, because VW these days seems to be relying a lot on the badge to price their cars much more than their actual values.

I bought a 3.5 late last year. I'll put approximately 35-40,000 miles on it annually. I'll tell you how great a car it is in 3 years

My last car before that was 17 years old before I junked it.

2004 VW GTI 1.8T 5 speed with a lot of power upgrades. I call her Silver Bullet. For any gear heads out there:

1.8 liter 20V DOHC turbocharged 4 cylinder with:

Custom 2.5'' turbo-back exhaust with Borla muffler
REVO stage II performance chip (up to 22psi from 11psi stock)
Front mount intercooler
AEM dryflow air filter
Silicone turbo-inlet pipe
4 bar fuel pressure regulator
Upgraded clutch with 14 lb flywheel
Coilover suspension

There's alot more cosmetic things to list, but that's the performance stuff.

When i first bought her:

How she looks now:

Thanks ya'll! I've loved hatchbacks since I was a teenager and the MKIV Golf is my favorite. It's sporty in a minimalist way. Also it can hold a lot of stuff!

Jaguar, S-Type, 2006.

I call her Jagabel, a play on the word "Jezebel," because she makes innocent little boys do very naughty things!
I guess I am a bit different, I never owned a car because of: no driver's license in the first place, when I first reached legal age to own a driver's license, I was so tangled up in regular school exams, I simply didn't find the time nor the focus to also attend the driver's license exams, then came university, with even more intricate, tiresome and time-consuming studies.

Instead, I use taxi cabs for shorter distances and bus, train or plane tickets for longer ones, seemingly having accommodated quite well to not driving a vehicle myself. That is not to say, however, that I totally avoid the idea of ever owning a car or that I am against cars for environmental reasons or so.

Thanks The photo I posted is a stock photo but it's identical to mine. Same color and everything except the grill under my front license plate is silver. I bought it back in 2001 and it's still going strong. Props to BMW for making a very dependable car. I was so happy when they came out with the 3.0iM version. The ones before that were way UNDERpowered. I like some horsepower under my hood. It's gotta be more than just a pretty face. I also LOVE that it has a steptronic transmission. Sometimes I feel like being lazy and popping it into automatic but other times I enjoy the feel of being able to shift manually. It is SUPER tiny and light weight with almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution so I zip around pretty good It may be small, has no back seat, and is seriously lacking in storage room, but I figure if it was good enough for James Bond, it's good enough for me

Wow your knowledge of cars is impressive!
I almost never drive in auto like you. Most times I'm in manual.
I can understand about the 50/50 weight distribution and low cent of gravity that yields the best handling and most fun driving. Prior to this enormous sedan i had a 911 turbo but prior to that I had a mid-engine Caymans S in manual transmission. That was spuer fun. It handled better than my 911 turbo. The only negative thing is that Porsche deliberately underpowered the engine. Otherwise it would have been perfect. I guess they couldn't have the new baby outshine the proven old sensei . Yet....

I predicted that the 911 will retire and the Cayman S will take its place.

I'm also a fan of the Cayman. I agree with you. SUPER fun to drive. Friend of mine owns one. I'm looking forward to trying out the new 2012 911 (despite the fact Porsche just announced a recall on the 2012 Carrera S). Lots of changes to it. Even changed the body. If I remember correctly it's 2 inches wider, four inches longer, lost some height, lost some weight and gained some speed but still managed to lower fuel consumption (I'm assuming because of the lower weight)....and with seven gears, dual-clutch transmission, etc etc. I'm drooling already. Please tell me you're going to buy one Hedonist222. I need someone to live vicariously through. Even if you have no plans on buying one.....lie to me

Side note: A few years back when they redid the 911 engine Porsche mailed out small diecast models of the new engine. I still have mine. Use it as a paperweight

I have yet to try the new 911. On paper it is a breakthrough. But I've been hearing what i feared may happen 8 years ago.
Porsche would succumb to the mass market and divert from function (its history) to form. I.e: it appears that they are now designing the car to appeal to people who want a 'cute sporty car' as opposed to decades of connoisseurs desiring a driving machine. How old perfumes are diluted, reformulated and dumbed down? This can be applied to cars too.
Maybe what's happening is that Porsche is slowly shifting the 911 into iconic luxury status and raising the Cayman to replace the 911 as a true sports vehicle. We've seen the cayman s with a 911 engine, a turbo and other mods rip apart more powerful sports cars already.
Time will tell but profits-greed is a nasty bug that a lot of niche creators are gettng lately.

I have a 1995 Toyota Corolla with 271,000 miles. This car was purchased new by my grandfather, given to my father, then me, and I'm hoping it's around long enough to have my son drive. I guess I woulda traded it in a long time ago if it wasn't an heirloom at this point. My wife's car is much nicer, but I like this little slice of Miller history.

An S with a real transmission; no sloshbox or flappy paddles for me.

Got it for 10k with 73k miles on it. 3 years and 30k later it's still perfect because it's a Honda, and I'm sure I just jinxed it.

Nice Evo! And Mazda6. I wanted a Mazda6 so bad when they first came out. Not too many tuners on here, but I'll help hold down the fort for turbocharged and inter-cooled 100+ hp per liter 4 cylinder hot hatches.

Did you do anything to that Evo or keep it stock?

I actually can't see the picture you posted because my work blocks photobucket -_-. Is it a GTI?

Thanks for the compliments. I LOVED that car. Nothing has been able to put a smile on my face the same way (except for my friend's 550 awhp 2011 GTR), than that car did.

It was basically stock too. No tune, no boost controller, just a cat-back exhaust, upgraded stereo, a drop and a set of advan wheels. I'm seriously considering getting another one when I head back to school.

The Mazda 6 is actually a fine car, and I'm really starting to appreciate the styling more now that I've removed the ghastly front lip that the previous owner had installed.
