Recommendation?

Hi there basenoters, can anyone recommend a fragrance for me? I am just exploring the world of perfume beyond my regular Ysatis. I love the smell of it, but want to expand my horizons. I recently tried Femme by Rochas. I am undecided about it. I think I like it, but it feels like it's missing something. Maybe not bright enough? I don't know. Anyway, any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!
Jenny Po.

Head to Guerlain and sample some of the lovely gems there

Shalimar, Samsara and L'Instant might appeal to you.

Similar to Femme would be Mitsouko, Arabie, Dinner By Bobo, Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. I prefer Femme personally on my skin, but I think these are worth testing if you like the general idea of Femme.

When I read that you were looking for something brighter perhaps my first thought was of Chanel No19 or 24 Faubourg. Also Dior Dolce Vita (sweeter) and maybe even Estee Lauder Knowing. Welcome and happy searching!

Thanks everyone! I will try your suggestions.

Silly question...I don't understand some of the lingo. What does "cloying" and "heady" mean?

These recommendations are spot-on. I love Ysatis, too, I also love the two aforementioned perfumes:
Hermes 24, Faubourg and Estee Lauder Knowing.
Also some sweet things that may interest you:

Anne Pliska
Andy Tauer Une Maroc Pour Elle
Jil Sander No. 4
Boucheron (original)
Chanel Coco (original, not Mademoiselle)
Rochas Tocade

P.S. Cloying means excessive, like an aroma that sticks to you in an annoying way. Heady means huge and easy to smell, like an aroma expands as soon as you put it on.

Thank you very much! I will definetly try 24 Faubourg, the description sounds like just what I'm looking for. Can you recommend a good online supplier? Thanks in advance.

Rest assured, 24, Faubourg, is reportedly one of France's best selling perfumes in department stores.
