Need Suggestions: Fresh Green Leaves

I am looking for a perfume that smells like fresh green leaves. It has to be the same smell of the juice that comes out of green leaves when you crush them. I want it to be very sharp and dry. Sharper than the usual fern fragrance. It should be something like L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, however without the rose in the middle. I like berry leaves very much.

Please help me, folks. Give me some suggestions. Preferably, I would like to buy a designer scent, because the niche scents are too expensive. But feel free to list the niche scents too.

So, what should I buy?

Hmmm, this may just be a product of geography but where I'm at most of the leaves I crush give off a wet, juicy, semi sweet note. Green but sweet, not really dry at least not until the fall comes and the colors change.

Calamus reminds me of those leaves, I recomend you sample it but I don't think it is going to give the dry sharp accord you are looking for.

Maybe Hindu Grass by Nasomatto? Far more dry in my humble opinion.

Calamus if you are looking for just pure leaves. CB I Hate Perfume's Wild Hunt if leaves, tree branches, wet land of the jungle after a drizzle all rolled into one.

A few great green scents are:

Angeliques Sous La Pluie - peppery and very green scent
La Campagna by Sisley - cut grasses and leaves that dries down into hay.
Querelle by Parfumerie Generale - a very bold green dry scent.
Hinoki Scent One by CdG very green and resinous

Chanel Bel Respiro might do it, or try The Different Company Un Parfum de Charmes et Feuilles.

Thanks so much, Vibert. Vent Vert is quite affordable and seems to be what I want. I have a sample of Virgilio and it is very green, but it is too expensive for me. I rarely pay full "niche price".

I second Night's suggestion of Eau de Campagne, Lucius.

Have you tried Versace Green Jeans? It's packed full of dry green notes, and its fairly inexpensive, though getting a tad hard to find. Let me know if you can't locate it, I think there's a bottle at a local mall.

bbBd, I'm not very attracted to this one because it has mint and pine in it...I need something sharper. Thanks for offering to help!

Eau de Campagne (Sisley) sounds like it fits the bill perfectly, and I was also impressed when I tried Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca (Guerlain), although it's perhaps more minty/herbal than leafy...

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Eau de Cartier which is very elegant, fresh and green, a truly distinctive and lovely frag.

I will agree with Eau de Cartier which is a crisp, polite, leafy green. I will also mention 212 Men which is a Floral green somewhat in the vein of Fahrenheit.On the more adventurous niche side, I would mention Serge Lutens Chene and Diptyque Philosykos which are both 100% leaves and branches.

^i recommend it as well. it is heavy on galbanum, which is the bitter green smell of crushed leaves from broadleaf bushes and common deciduous trees, but galbanum also invokes the smell of crushed ladybugs. anyway, sisley's campagne is the closest i've smelled to real fresh leaves. interested in trying calamus.

For some reason I don't like Eau d'Campagne, there's something about the tomato leaf accord in this fragrance that does not work for me.

I think there really is no alternative to Feuille Verte. Of course Creed's Selection Verte shares similar notes, but SV is missing the floral element that gives FV it's polished touch. The Perfumed Court used to sell samples of FV, but recently I don't think they do anymore (they probably sold out of it).

If you like Chanel #19 and Vent Vert, try Chanel Bel Respiro. I actually like it slightly better than the other two.

"Fresh crushed tree leaves" is exactly what I thought of when I smelled L'Artisan's Premier Figuier. (not the Extreme version, which is different). It gets a bit soapy in the drydown, but the topnote is all chlorophyll, sharp and sunny and intensely green.

Jo Malone Fig and cassis had a very fresh cut scent to me. Very distinct, very beautiful, but very fleeting. Something that should be experienced.
