Yet another rainy day here in England! I shall wear the very understated,
under-rated gem that is Bulgari Omnia. I put this on last night, after using a
new "dead sea salt" exfoliator and Palmer's Cocao Body Lotion and the
difference it made having silky, soft skin was amazing! There were still vestiges of it
this morning

I'm wearing Paris edt by YSL. It is light and glowing on this dark and wet day.

Sestra, honey !
I missed you !

Wearing Liz's magnificent Underworld.
It doesn't get too much better than this, folks.
Warm, earthy, spicy, deep.

Off to work, and loving you all !

Nahema (Guerlain) spritzed over the lingering rests of Organza Indecence (Givenchy) from last night. They do combine well!

Sestra! Good to see you!

Sotd is Guerlain Attrape Coeur:
notes: rose, violet, iris, amber, vanilla, sandalwood

Achingly beautiful, aptly named.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Happy Tuesday all.
Nice to see Sestra back.
Trying another Neil Morris sample today from ComDiva as I'm still in my incense craving mode thought I'd try:

Neil Morris Skincense

This is a lot of fun it reminds me of every head shop I walked in during the 70's. I'm not sure I want a bottle of this but it's going to be fun to have on today and it will be fun to get this sample out in the future.

Love's True Bluish Light this morning - mmmm so delicious in the cold weather! Now wearing Guess Woman as SotE for the first time in months - it's changed on my skin, smells somewhat peppery. I noticed that with YSL Baby Doll Paris after not wearing it for awhile too

Andrea!! Sweetheart!! You're ba-a-a-a-ck! (Was beginning to worry...) Welcome home!

Finally I'm getting Angel. (Molto graz' to Ubu for the adorable little sample of the Extrait!!) Right away I got the exotic blast of patchouli and sandalwood with a melony underpinning. No chocolate. And only after about twenty minutes the hint of vanilla. Scurried over to The Directory to see what was wrong - was certain this was broadcast as a gourmand. Relieved to see mine is not the only bod that does not bring out the sweetness..

Angel is certainly potent - think I'll have to live with it a little longer to have an opinion....

A lovely day here today. Wearing just a tiny bit of Parfum de Therese.
Up early today. My, everybody is smelling wonderful today!

I'm sampling a lily scent by Commes des Garçons ( Quarry!). It starts off with a lovely, pure lily of the valley, then sojourns into further floral and green territory. I smell cannabis. Can that be possible? It must be the mingling odors of coffee and this perfume that gives me that impression.

Have good one!

Bulgari Omnia, because I'm a sadist.
Hey Sestra! Where you been?

It's widdling down here, so I'm giving up for now on 'tropical' week. I couldn't face frangipani in the rain. Too sad, somehow.

So I'm going with Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass. Herbal, refreshing, slightly salty, but warm too with a musky sandalwood bottom (so I read). Should be perfect for a trip to *shudder* IKEA.

Ines, you made my heart sink just a little when you mentioned autumn being on the way, but I've cheered up with the thought that here in Switzerland, summer lasts a little longer than I'm used to - often right into October.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Actually, make that Prada Infusion D'Iris, because I really am not a sadist. I just like to think I am.

It's Alexander McQueen's Kingdom for me today ... and I'm distressed to report that it's not working out.

Perhaps TMI here, folks, but on me it smells like ... unwashed 'nether regions'.

Yuk!

Kenzo Vintage edition.
I am wearing Ava Luxe's Angel Face from a sample. A bit too powdery for me, but the musk is always nice.
I insisted on wearing Hypnotic Poison. Why oh why? I like the bitter almond opening, after that it suffocates me with it's heady, cloying, powdery sweet sillage. I swear I applied only a smidgen and it' s still choking me up. Let the end of the day come soon so I can wash this monster off already!
Y by YSL for today.

IKEA - I don´t envy you, Wordbird; spending time there is exhausting... They have some great & cheap stuff, though (IF you are so lucky to eventually find iwhat you are looking for).

Still chilly and rainy here, freezing in my summer sandals & t-shirt.

Miroir des Vanities by Thierry Mugler (first time from my new decant)

Bitter, bitter woods...very different from any Mugler scent I've ever smelled

SotD today is Bulgari Eau Parfumee au The Rouge--an easy scent to wear, and warming on a grey day.

Have a great day everybody!

SJP Covet for me today. I kind of feel that I shouldn't like this one as much as I do, because it is kind of an odd mishmash of notes, but it just works on me, you know?
Sampling Guerlains HABIT ROUGE. So far, all I can smell are lemons, so am hoping it morph's into something a little more "digestable".

Wonderful to see you back SESTRA!

POTL Luctor et Emergo.
Strange, strange perfume. Play-doh, almond, cherry, cinnamon, who-knows-what?

On one arm, Ava Luxe Milk. Top notes came across as cotton candy--my skin must be making this very very sweet. It calmed down, though, although it is still just a bit sweet on me for my taste. I can see why people love this and find it comforting, however.

On the other arm, I brought out my early 90s mini of Lalique (the discontinued version, by Sophia Grojsman) for the first time in years. It's still going strong, and now I can finally appreciate it. (I used to find it too "perfumy.") Lovely, rich floral. Yummmmm. Why'd they have to go and discontinue it?

Ambra del Nepal today, I could use up a bottle of this in a couple of weeks if I wore it every day. Tested Hot Couture again......to buy or not to buy? I'm not sure. Now wearing Creed Irisia from a sample sent by Dora. This is a warm iris, can I call it honeyed? Classy and warm as opposed to cool I'm definitely liking this.
Alien for the evening - am seesawing back and forth between this and the remains of Angel.

Oy vey!
VERY late to the party today... I swear they're getting every possible second out of me at my soon-to-be-former job. UGH!

Sestra, nice to see you, sweetie!

Today, wore Cacherel Gloria, courtesy of the glorious tdem1961!

Notes: Vanilla, Musk, Amaretto, Bittersweet Italian Almond Liquor, Ambergris, Bulgarian Rose, Hibiscus.

Very, very sweet and vanilla-y on me. I like it, though the drydown has a touch more powder than I usually want. That said, in the stupidly humid, chilly, rainy weather we've been having here lately, a little drying powder note is lovely!

Okay, back to the salt mines to try to get a huge project mostly off my plate before I leave the job...

Well now... I had luscious Bal a Versailles EDT on my skin this morning, leftover from last night.....mmmmmmm!!!!!. After my a.m. shower, I decided on Caleche Fleurs de Mediterranee for SotD at work (mmmmm, again). Tonight, I'm craving Bal a Versailles and Kelly Calache at the same time. What's a gal to do?
