Congratulations, my beloved Howlin' Mad Dragon!!


Thank you for always being the great friend you are. Wishing you a splendid day filled with joy, laughter, good food & drinks and plenty of perfect perfumes. Whisky is served all day through along with Guerlain crystal, bell jars and very smelly cheese

Wearing Jicky today, in your honour and to call down some delicate sunshine from the weather gods.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Riannon!!!!! ..and good morning to the rest of you.I'm up early for my first day as a student again.A little nervous,but hopefully all will go well.For this sunny day I'm in Crystal Noir.It always boost my selfesteem a little(If I had checked this thread a little earlier I would have worn Jicky in Riannon's honour,but tomorrow then)

For me today I'm trying anopther of the 5-star scents. I got a decant of this during the TPC anniversary sale.

S-Perfumes S-ex

I am beginning to understand what makes a five-star in Turin and Sanchez's eyes. One big aspect is uniqueness. So far every one I've tried does not have a close counterpart for me to say it starts like this scent or dries down like this scent. This one starts off with the most salty marine note I've come across. Then a floral hint over a leather which deepens as the musk comes in. It also feels like there is the hint of a fruity note which keeps playing peek-a-boo with my nose. This is an extremely interesting scent and it seems to be pretty good on me.

SotD is a couple of squirts of Allure Sensuelle from a shop tester - after trying it in Harrods I wanted to give it another day's wear.

Meanwhile, I'm stunned to see so many dragons crawling out of the woodwork today! I love dragons (so much that I've even got one tattooed on me and, heh, some say I married my guy just because his surname means "dragon" in Chinese...).

Joining the "Happy Birthday" chorus for Riannon. I love the dragon photos and especially the drawings.

Dimples, so glad you like the PomNoir. It's like the poem about the little girl with the little curl on her forehead. When it is good, it's really really good, and when it's bad . . . . Anyhow, it's supposed to be one of the most long-lasting JMs.

SoTD: Luna by Ramon Molvizar, sample courtesy of maisonstinky. It has lovely floating golden flakes in it. Unfortunately, I seem to be anosmic to the main notes: I can tell something is there, but I can't tell what it is.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes for the class today It all went well,and the people in my class seem like nice people so far. When I got home my order of Madame X had arrived,so that is my sote.This was a blindebuy and I'm happy to report that it's lovely on me Lots of amber,a touch of spice and leather. Today I chose Pleasures Delight. Compared to Flowerbomb PD is more 'grounded' although still very feminine. Trying to reason myself out of buying Flowerbomb because of the cost. I could buy Lolita Lempicka original purple bottle plus Lolita Lempicka L for half the price of Flowerbomb!

It's still very muggy here, but the cool cedar of Genie des Bois is the perfect antidote. This scent is sweeter with violet in humidity than it is in the winter, when I usually wear it. This is the only violet fragrance I wear.
