Not another poll...
not another thread about Kouros...

Shut up, this one is quite easy.
In my defense, i have been waiting for the front page to be pollless. That has not happened in quite a while.
I thought it was important to return the good fame, vindicate and demystify.... urinal cakes?
We know you hate Kouros Everso... you can still trash it on this thread though.

I have never gotten close enough to a urinal cake to smell it and I have no intention of ever doing so.

I can understand the comparison of Kouros to the smell of a mens room in a club or more specifically, to urine, but a urinal cake? Has Kouros actually been compared to the smell of urinal cakes or has it somehow acquired that association by some sort of grapevine effect?

For that matter, do urinal cakes have a specific smell? Why would their scent be any different than the hundreds of different air fresheners available? Shouldn't they have a typical citrus, mint, or "fresh" scent just like any other odor-covering gadget/substance?

Something smells funny in this thread.

I don't use urinals very often, but a friend of mine told me he can't eat Froot Loops anymore because the urinal cakes in the dorms smelled like them. From Basenotes reviews, I don't think Kouros smells like Froot Loops. I tried to sample it a few months ago at Ulta, but couldn't figure out how to work the spray nozzle. :P

Yes, urinal cakes have a specific smell, caused mainly by their major ingredient, p-dichlorobenzene.

I like Kouros and it's a lucky urinal, mud, or birthday cake that gets to smell like Kouros.

LOOOOL!
Hilarious!

To me, the way the sharp fresh scent of Kouros hits one's nostrils is very reminiscent of the way the sharp fresh scent of urinal cakes hit one's nostrils.

It's a jealous rumor started by urinal cakes.

Kouros smells like Kouros.

Dilmun smells like urinal cakes (yes, plural, as in "thousands of urinal cakes).

In the Netherlands there are gas stations that have round, light green urinal cakes that smell a lot like the top notes of Kouros when you wear Kouros in colder weather. In colder weather Kouros' top notes smell a lot more harsh than in warmer weather. I suppose it is the smell of eucalyptus that is shared by Kouros and the green urinal cakes.

No, but I still like Kouros...but no higher than my belly button, thanks a lot. Somehow it belongs in the nether regions...

To reiterate what I've said about Kouros before, I think it might work with skin chemistry that really "eats up" fragrances, but not for those whose skin really holds it, like mine. So it's a good news/bad news thing, because I don't need to spray more than once or twice, but some frags are too strong. On the bright side, my bout of chemical sensitivity syndrome seems to have subsided!

No. And I like Kouros!

But for some reason, the urinal cakes at the college I go to (which are locally made by Wayne Products, a chemical company here in Fort Wayne) have a strong olfactory resemblance to Le Male... I kid you not. (I still like and wear Le Male, though.)

If I ever find one that does, I'll stop buying Kouros and just keep a urinal cake in my pocket.

I usually enjoy the urinal cakes more than Kouros. They have a sweetness that is missing from the bitter Kouros.

I have the same problem here. However, we are fortunate to have different versions of Kouros that will work well with different skin chemistry

I think it is the "Civet" effect , and some find it stimulating and some repulsive.

I like Cl-Kouros-Cl.

Just like that complimentary waterproof candy they give away in truckstop bathrooms.

Do people have an aversion to flushing the urinals ,and in turn the urinal cakes, for fear that what will be left is a fresh clean smell akin to that of say, something like Kouros?

Some people actually get off on that, so I guess Kouros would be like their 'Holy Grail' scent. I'm just sayin.

I've heard that. But maybe they should have a different edition like Kouros Golden Shower.
