Do you wear fragrances when you have a cold

A have a somewhat mild cold, and even though its mild, it seems that my sense of smell and taste are 80% gone. I found out how little I could really smell as I put some L'Air du Desert Marocain on my arm and could not smell the beauty. I might take it easy with the fragrances the next couple of days until i'm all healed up. What about you guys? Do you lose your sense of smell/taste when you have a cold, and do you still wear fragrance?

Yeah my sense of smell and of taste go all weird. If I have to go out, I'll wear some fragrance anyway, but when I'm sick I tend to avoid wearing fragrances altogether.

Get well soon

I don't really enjoy fragrances if I can't smell them well, so I wait until my sense of smell has returned. I was originally planning to hit some fragrance shops to look for new stuff today, but as I have a cold I thought better of it, it's no use right now.

No, if I can't smell anything what's the point?

Hope your cold gets better soon, leor_77!

Yes, I wear perfume even if I can´t smell a thing. If you can´t please yourself, please someone else...

I've found that there is always some note that can get through. I wear fragrance every day. Wait. I think that I missed the days that I was in labor, but it was so long ago that I don't really remember.

I just recovered from a cold too and I couldn't feel smells either. But I didn't go out much so I didn't wear fragrance, except for the part where I've been in Vienna.

I had a cold recently, and I didn't bother during the day. But I did wear fragrance to bed in the evening after taking a big swallow of Nyquil. The scent got thru and helped me feel better as I fell asleep.

Does anyone recommend anything? Besides the usual drink lots of liquids, rest a lot, etc. I'm thinking of getting something like Zicam or Airborne, though there was a class action suit against Airborne, which kind of makes me feel bad about the credibility of the product to actually fight colds. And it just kills me that they put on the box that the product was developed by a TEACHER...not a doctor?

Of course.

Usually no.

Not really, a cold usually dulls off my sense of smell

If there's anything left of my sense of smell I might wear fragrance, but it's usually a waste of time.

I don't think any product really helps with a cold. Drink lots of fluids and carry tissues, that's pretty much it. If you have a bad cough, then cough drops and nyquil/dayquil can be handy.
