New scent for college which wafts????

hey im in college and i am looking for a new fragrance to be used in college and nights out where it wafts around me and smells sexy and not too headache inducing if used in large amounts. Im one of them people who really wants people to smell me as i walk past and to be able to talk to a girl from a reasonable distance where i know she can smell me. but my current fragrances are running out and i own mainly romantic scents which cannot be used in a college enviroment, such as ralph laurens and dolce and gabbanas. so a nice fragrance which you know women or even guys like and leaves very good sileage, also how many sprays of that particular fragrance and where to get the desired effect. thanks very much.

Why can't you use those fragrances in a "college environment?"

because i prefer wearing them on dates and stuff and not on a day to day basis which is what im trying to find.
so what are you looking for?a frag for college or for nights out?
You say you want a fragrance that is "not romantic" but you want it to smell "sexy." You are making this very difficult here.

Well I assume you just want a little bit of an edge to get noticed without having to open your yap. I would love to help you think of some things.

Some things I might wear, and that my friends wear are:
Armani Black Code
AdG
Dior Homme (while still and every day scent it gets tons of compliments on me and carries well)

Those 3 should suit you fine. I doubt you'll need many more than that.

I think AdG and Code are nice, but you will, in fact, smell like every kid in college, when you go to class there is a 90% chance that the spikey haired guy to your left is wearing either AdG or Code or if you go to a bar you can smell that stuff everywhere. These fragrances are not edgey at all; they are exceptionally commonplace and will not get you noticed. In fact, they will only cause you to blend in more.

Here is what you need:

-Jack Black, Black Mark (better more refined version of Gucci Envy)
-Versace, The Dreamer (very nice and sweet buy very edgey)
-JPG, Fleur Du Male (a flowery-powdery soft scent that is still masculaine, although some would disagree)
-YSL, M7 (need I say more about this)
-Polo, Double Black (creamy oriental, I personally love this stuff and it is very wearable)

This is true. I forgot to mention that. Code is not as widely worn by me and AdG is one of the most popular of all times for men.

It's better to just find something that is you. You may like my suggestions anyway though.

the ones that get noticed by the college girls are the more "generic" smelling ones. there's no arguing that AdG, chrome and code smell good, but as someone said, you will smell like a lot of other guys. personally, i remember unique things, so i try to wear unique scents. why not wear your "date" scents during the day? dont make the mistake of lumping your fragrances into categories.

with that being said i will suggest that you get code. it smells great and lasts for a very long time. just go easy on applying it. you dont want to overpower anyone with what youre wearing. ignore that last suggestion if youre going out to a club that lets people smoke though.

just to clarify a romantic fragrance to me is anything which makes me feel better and more confident in that situation. for instance if joop did that then i would wear it, now joop is not seen as a romantic scent yet i would asscoiate it with dates and stuff. so wanting to smell sexy is just wanting compliments and to smell good without feeling like im wearing something i should be wearing on a special night. anywa thanks for all the suggestions, ill try them all out.

I wore Armani Mania in college for whenever I went out. That was my ONE scent back in those days...seems strange to me now, only ONE scent?!? I would still probobly wear it today if I had it...I should get around to buying it again, one of these days. Ah memories!

YSL Rive Gauche wafts and I am in University ( and wear it). i don't know about the "sexy" part. It is hard to tell what pleases women , let alone what scent they would find "sexy". But when you say "sexy" I just think of gourmands ( A*Men ), sweet powdery disasters ( Le Male) and just plain disaster ( Pi) . All these 3 are adored by women , worn by "the college crowd" and have good projection. Personally I think the silage ( esp at college/work ) should be minimal. I've always thought silage as unnecessary for a male, but that is just my opinion.

TheAttorney and Envyus have some very good suggestions. Best of luck.

im thinking you want something bourgeoisie ?
well a good scent for the night out and yup it up would be boss selection.

though you could still do your strutt in sch with some loewe solo or some Narciso Rod. for him.

and spray as much as u want to reasoably. in the club its smoke, BO, other people's scent, alcohol induced regurgitation, so you could use a good 10-12 sprays evenly about.(ive worn fahrenheit 32, bvg aqua, bvg extreme with that same amount and have always had the nicest comments. To stand out in a crowdded night spot, its obvious ur gonna have to use more) even on the back. so the ones behind you can enjoy . keep it below 10(unless its burb WEAKend where 15 shots last 4 hours tops) in sch tho ( i consistenetly abuse my LDIssey with 8-10 sprays on fridays at work and funny how my colleagues still find it pretty light) no one is really going to be able to pick up ur scent for at leat 30 -60min, considering travelling, natural elements etc, so dont worry if the feedback u get prompts you to use a little more.

you could spray some over your shirt b4 wearing it, then a little more at the common areas. it depends, some scents work better on fabric some dont. essentially notes are dependant on body heat to work, but i like my clothes to smell nice as i put them on, so i usually prep spray on my fabrics 20min pror to wearing, and then add some more on the cuff are of ur short sleeves, i personally find the upper arm to be more blatant esp if you want the person next to you to know how you smell.

No offense, does your keyboard have a shift key? It's spelled sillage by the way. Just trying to help you out here.

Waft? Is that like projection (I consider it sillage) , like the wake of a boat. My perception of those fragrances that you are alluding to might be a little too "mature". But what the hey.

Sillage Monsters:

Rochas Man
Gucci Envy
Bvlgari Soir
Bel Ami
Michael Kors Michael For Men
Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque
Javari
Arabie
Antaeus
Bulgari pour Homme Extrême
Tabac Blond
Daim Blonde
Costume National Scent Intense
Quimbaya
Havana for Men
Bandit
Montale Black Aoud
