Mine is a D&G DW0211 . (im only 20, so i dont have $ for the high end stuff :P )

This is my daily watch and I LOVE it!

That Omega is PUUUUUUUUURRDYYYY! Or pretty, for the uninitiated. I'm torn...You drop $1500 on a watch and you don't want to regret it!
I own two watches: Citizen Aqualand and this one for work and going out and about:
Barry, that blue Swiss Army is nice!! I still am undecided between the Breitling and the Omega...what do you guys think? Which is cooler?
Omega to me. More of a pedigree if you will.
An Omega Seamaster is a real classic that gets my vote. Breitling has a tendency to feel a bit "eurotrashy", they always manage to look too busy or blingy somehow.

And CanwllCorfe, that Tokyo flash watch is really cool! Not my style, but very nice.

Perpetual Calendar, Solar Power, Minute repeater function (fun to talk about & demonstrate) in a reasonably cheap watch. I love this watch.

If money were no option, Tag Heuer and Omega would be on the top of my list
post #189 of 457
I have around 10 watches: Fossils, Kennth Coles and 1 Seiko. I am not crazy about the luxury watched. For me a watch has to be functional, to my tastes and affordable. My favorite one is Fossil watch and I wear it about 97% of the time.
Man, did I get a deal today. My Dillard's had a handful of Zodiac watches, which normally retail for around $295 at Nordstrom and other stores. I had never seen Zodiacs at Dillard's before.

I picked up a 43MM blue faced chronograph for just $95! Really sharp and expensive looking. After all the stress I have dealt with at work lately, this is a nice little reward...that and the CK Contradiction that I picked up last night!

BTW, the model is the Desert Falcon, blue and steel. Good quality for the price!

Hubby loves watches, though so do I .
We both wear Tissos's

He has a few Jacques Lemans's, D&G,
a Givenchy I adore, Burberry I also really like,
hmmm I'm forgetting now... oh I love this yellow
Tommy Bahama (I got it for him)...
let's see if I can find some photos:

Okay this one I wear:

I would love the yellow one too

This is the white D&G I got him:

A blue and a red Invicta Lupahs:

I love these Givenchys:

I love some of the Ball watches, especially the ones which look very classic and no-nonsense, with very puristic dials and leather straps.
I also own some of watches by the following brands, being something of a (very small-scale) collector: Doxa, Tissot, Rodania, Lorus, Appella, a vintage Milus wristwatch from the 1930's, Festina, Activa, Romanson, Pierre Bonnet, Pierre Cardin and Meister Anker.

My future wish list (although quite unrealistic from a certain point onwards) includes:

Further Tissot (especially within the T-Classic and T-Trend series)
Longines Evidenza and Longines Dolce Vita
several Frederique Constant
Poljot Buran limited edition
Vintage Poljot aviator watches
some Sinn chronographs
Ebel Brasilia
several Tag Heuer and Omega basic automatic models, clean-cut, preferably with leather straps and with no major complications

and now, for the dream-like part:

Roger Dubuis Much More and Golden Square
Franck Muller Master square
almost anything within the Marine Collection by Ulysse Nardin
anything within the Marine and Tradition series of Breguet
Vacheron Constatin Malte and Toledo
Piaget Black Tie Emperador
Zenith Chronomaster
A. Lange & Soehne Cabaret and Datograph Perpetual
Audemars Piguet: Edward Piguet and Jules Audemars ranges
Chopard Classique Homme
Breitling for Bentley
Jaeger le Coultre Reverso Sun-Moon or Grande Date

(aaaahhh... dreaming again)

I'm really torn on the IWC vs. Omega for the "everyday" watch.. I think they're both spectacular watches and I'd save money buying the Omega, but I'd lose the prestige and uniqueness of the IWC.

Not that everybody has an Omega, but IWC is much more special and a bit more substantial in terms of bulk/weight.

PS - Finsfan - gorgeous choices. You can't go wrong with a Rolex, no matter what people say.
I bought the Breitling Colt Auto II. It's a beaut and perfect at 41MM for work or casual. Not so ostentatious. The blue face is gorgeous. I've worn it the last 3 days. The Pilot bracelet is really suave!

I'm saving up for the Omega Speedmaster. Black or blue will be the choice...
I don't know much about watches but I do know that I like Omega Seamaster and will buy it, soon.

Congrats to Omega Seamster! It's truly good value for money.
Great looking watch - very classy and versatile.

I have the Nixon 5130 watch....its awesome weighs a ton...haha!
I love Tag Hauer - my watch has never missed a beat in years . If I had serious money I would buy my husband a great Breitling.
SO and I both have TAGs, he got me mine for my 30th b-day and almost 14 years later it's still going strong. He got his around the same time, but has a much better story- quite pro-TAG. We were up at a family members cottage and SO was wakeboarding with friends- and did not take off his watch. But, he did realize at the end of the day that he'd lost it......2 weeks later his aunt had friends up to the cottage that were into SCUBA and, yes, they found his watch on the bottom of the lake, still ticking.

Lately my favourite watch is a "vintage" (are the 80s vintage? sigh) Cartier Panthere. Always loved that style. Wish I liked the Cartier Panthere perfume to go with....but no.

I just love your Tag Hauer ' still ticking in a lake ' story ! That about sums it up for Tags. Omega apparently does not keep good time though they are quite pretty . I love your Cartier - absolutely classic !

Thanks. I won 1, 2, 6, 8 and 9 on eBay all for only $19.00+ shipped. All of them had dead batteries and I replaced them. I am thinking about buying an Invicta Diver watch for around $70.00

I love the comments I get on it. They usually consist of "what is that?" or "are you from the future?" haha! I just can't get into the conventional ones they're too simple for me. It's weird to read but I once I thought of them, like I said, as more of an accessory, I didn't mind.

How do you know what time it shows? Do you count it by the lit dots?

This one is my favorite.

I have a lot of fun with this one and it's very useful as a alarm-clock.

I rarely wear this one.

I rarely wear this one because it's too small for le goût du jour. Cartier. yes. but don't expect the good quality from must de Cartier collection.

I wear a watch everyday but I rather look at the time from the clock on my mobile phone.
Great stuff everyone.

Roberto your Hermes in the middle is beautiful.

Just got this watch 2 days ago for $53.00:

That's a good looking Invicta; I've owned a few of those.

I'm getting ready to buy another watch...actually, it will be my birthday present at the end of August...I sold one of my Tag's and some scents to raise some cash...I smell an Omega...
Right now I own an Emporio Armani AR2990

I'd like to look for a new watch

My wife bought me the Omega Seamaster Blue James Bond Model for my birthday. I love it and I have worn it everyday this week! That's saying something for a guy that owns a Tag Carrera and two Breitlings. The Omega is a nice size (41MM) and it goes with everything.

Happy Camper!

Chuck, obligatory wrist shot(s)?
Just got the "Sapphire" by Movado on Saturday after work at Macys

nice Movado...anyone own a Tag Heuer?
I wear a Tag Monza.
I love it but am still saving up for an IWC Portugese

Ever wonder why 10:10 is the default setting on watches and clocks?

For some reason I knew this and it made me think of learning to drive, with hands 10:10 on the wheel

Just imagine having to wait up to 12 hours for that time to appear before taking the picture of the watch.
I just got me some wrist candy. A 1995 Maurice Lacroix Automatic, ETA 2824-2, ostrich watchband.

Oooh, I love watches! This is my current one - Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control. Auto, stainless steel on croc strap. I adore it.

Dream watch is Breguet Classique 5177BA/29/9V6 in white gold.
Both the Maurice Lacroix and the JLC Master Control look, to me, like watchmaking dreams coming true and I say it with the utmost honesty and objectivity.
I rarely wear watches anymore but I won this Audemars in a bet from a guy who works for Nike. He bet me I couldn't have his kid beating him in tennis in six months, but it happened, and I got the watch. It's beautiful, but not nearly as good as seeing the kid play so well.

http://www.lussori.com/audemars-pigu...atch-7347.html

No, I don't want to sell it.

Just bought this today:

I also bought this Armani watch brand new for $350 but don't want it anymore. I've never worn it and am thinking of throwing it up on thebay for about $275. If a basenoter wants it, I'll let it go for $150 shipped. It was an impulse buy that I made - I've got to learn to get that under control!

Oh, nothing fancy, just a French Connection square-shaped male watch:

It is most likely available around 100$

A Festina classic male watch
I just got the Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Chrono for my birthday. The blue face like Jockwithscents (Barry) shows earlier in this thread. Funny, but I have sold off the Omega James Bond, one Tag and one Breitling to pay off some nagging debts over the past year. My current watches: the Swiss Army, the Tag Carrera, Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish, Seiko Diver (Rolex Sub style) and a Dooney & Burke "Panerai-style" look-alike.
I don't know if anyone can help in the UK, but here goes:
Do you know of any courier that is safe for shipping expensive watches, offering full insurance? I am wanting to sell my Omega De Ville Hour Vision, possibly putting it on Ebay, if the shop I purchased it from will not sell it for my on a commission basis. I wouldn't want to sell it to someone abroad because of the expense, so if I did put it on Ebay I would have to list the postage, but cannot until I find someone reliable who would deliver it. I've only worn it twice outside the house as I'm always scared of someone taking a fancy to it, so it's time to wave goodbye. It's the model shown below
post #235 of 457
Excellent thread, I see some here have some cool watches. So many these days think that a watch is unnecessary with all the advent of electronic gadgets. I've always felt a nice watch is a symbol of class & sophistication. I'd love a Rolex but it's way out of my league. Here's the watch I currently have owned for 4 years now:

I own a Rado Sintra Jubile'.

My everyday watch is a vintage Roamer while my nightime/special function timepiece is a Rado...
I love watches of all kinds from the very expensive to the very cheap, only i can't seem to like the more strident types, i'm a rather classic man.

I am a big fan of Girard Perregaux, Perrelet, Vacheron Constantin, the old Zenith lines, Breguet and Hamilton (the oldies).
