Trying to choose a cologne, help needed...

Thread Starter
Hi I'm new to the world of fragrances and wanted to see if you guys could give me some suggestions. I need a cologne for going to work and another for nighttime (bars, clubs, dates, etc.), anywhere that women are gonna be at pretty much. I'm 20 years old so most of the classics aren't really my sort of things but you think it'd be worth a shot by all means suggest one. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and by the way I live in Toronto Canada so and winter is approaching, maybe that will help narrow it down. Also some of the colognes I've seen on the site aren't even available here.

Welcome "turtle"

For seamless "office to out"-wear, I suggest you might try YSL L'Homme. Its extremely versatile, and classy. The ladies love it!

With winter approaching, I might also suggest Burberry London which just comes alive on your skin in cold weather. If you can grab a bottle before the 15th of this month, you can also participate in our "Scent Synchronisation Day" where many members globally will be wearing Burberry London simultaneously (and then commenting on it here)

Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

Burberry London is awesome, but I would also reccomend Gucci Pour Homme as well

I love YSL L'Homme. Also, I recommend Black XS if you want to go out clubbing. Both fit into our age demographic perfectly.

Hey, big age gap between you and me (52). Oh well...
I humbly suggest my favorite all-purpose scents:
* Thierry Mugler Cologne (the white frosted bottle, with green cap). A cheery, green-innocent feel-good scent. Musk gives it staying power.
* Essenzia di Zegna (way, way better... I mean really better than Aqua di Gio). A citrusy- light herbal scent, very Mediterranean and classy IMO.
Both of these are available at the Bay.
PS -- both are available in product (bath and shaving stuff)... great for layering.
Cheers,

I'm with YSL L'Homme, Burberry London, and Mugler Cologne as "can't go wrong" scents, but all the others mentioned above are all good starter scents and you should check them out for subsequent bottles. The nice thing about the above 3 is that they cover a range from light and fresh to strong and classic. I'm gonna be wearing London on the 15th, too. It is just so British to my nose!

PS - Although I don't have anything against people with 1 post who come from Abu Dhabi, I think you should show your maple leaf! (change your home country under "Edit Your Details").
