Speed Stick :)

Ok... I know this is a wierd one... but I really like the smell of the Original (green) Speed Stick "Great Clean Scent" Deodorant (they don't use the same scent in the anti-perspirant version). Are there any scents out there that have the same smell?

Try Paco Rabanne Pour Homme or Polo (original) by Ralph Lauren.

Apply lightly...these are powerful fragrances.

Never tried Paco... gotta pick some up. I wear Polo fairly often and agree that it is about the most complimentary to the speed stick scent of anything I have. There must be others out there???

The Paco Rabanne seems just right, Mike. The beauty of Speed Stick was that it toned down and sanitized the 70's harsh citrus/herbal powerhouse thing to domestically sustainable levels. Reminds me of my Da. Although he was neither toned down nor sanitized.

Speed Stick of course is going to smell different than PR.

Speed Stick deodorant has this very synthetic accord running through it that's slightly salty. Kind of like the smell of spray starch (you know, that you spray on clothes prior to ironing them)? Must be the actual 'deodorizing' ingredients that combine with the fragrance of the product (and body heat) to create this accord.

PR is much more fougere/bold. But lightly applied (maybe even finding a Paco Rabanne After Shave?) should yield complimentary results.

Some days, I just wear Polo deodorant stick and it is so strong that it wears like a fragrance. Smells great though.

Skin Brazer After Shave by Mennen has the same faragrance as the deodorant. However, it doesn't last at all.

This stuff reminded me somewhat of Speed Stick.

About 35 to 40 years ago Mennen made an edc that had the same smell as the Speed Stick, only smoother and richer. Going by the memory as a young boy.

I get some similarities from the original formulations of Brut
