Help me figure out which fragrance to buy next!!

Hey guys i wanted to post on the mens fragrances forum but figured it would get moved here anyway even though its not a noob question but I just figured i'd start here. Just to let you know what i'm hoping for i currently own 3 fragrances; Armani Mania, Dior Homme, and Polo Double Black. I'm saving up a bit more money and when i get there I will purchase Terre D' Hermes also. I'm a teenager living in the teenage crowd with a deep hatred for all things in the teenage frag market. Abrocrombie, ADG, Axe, Tag, basically all along these lines are things my friends wear and things i absolutely hate. But back to the point....I was curious if you guys could give me some recommendations on a new frag to buy with Terre D' Hermes. I obviously will try and sample as many of these as i can just to get an idea of what I like. What i'm looking for is a fragrance that will work well in the cold but at the same time be versatile to any situation i'm in. I am not a big fan of "light watery" frags that seem to be all the rage now a days and my fave frags are aromatic, sexy, masculine fragrances but (as you can see from my owning Dior Homme) i'm not afraid to wear a little bit feminine frags. I'd love something with decant sillage and cant stand fragrances that stay super close to skin so nobody can smell you. I would love some help with fragrances along these lines or just some of your personal faves that you think i'll like. Thanks so much in advance and if you would like to know anything else about me just say so!

I'm a big fan of Dior Homme, it's a good fragrance to have!

Dark, threatening, sexy, yet feminine - Paco Rabanne Black XS. And cheap, too! A 100ml was cheaper than a typical 50ml of Prada or Givenchy.

On my skin it's extremely spicy and rosy, but there's also a note of strawberry all the way through. And it's definitely an all-year fragrance.

If you want more elegant than Black XS, I'd go with Chanel Antaeus.

Seeing as i also own Dior Homme, Ralp Lauren double black & Armani Mania, you and i might like the same scents so here are my suggestions to you..

Burberry London, i think that one would be perfect for you, and it works perfect in winter too..
(i also see its on your sample list )

YSL-Rive Gauche, its a stronger scent, but very masculine and sexy, its different then other scents out there, you should definitely check this one out, it might seem to strong when you spray it on your wrist but the dry down is to die for.

Valentino Pour Homme Very very sexy frag, bit feminine (girls LOVE it when i'm wearing this one), if you like ralph lauren double black you will love this one, it also has the same pencil note base as Double Black.

Go test these 3

I second the recommendation for Burberry London. It was the first thing I thought of and is a great scent to be wearing this time of year.

Thanks guys i've tried London once a long while ago and all i can remember is it being sickly peppery...but that was in the summer and i never gave it time to dry down so i'll try and look into that one. What else you guys got?

Rive Gauche is a good suggestion, quite powerful in a barbershoppy way.
Try Lalique Encre Noir, nice vetiver note.
How about Armani (the original, light green box). That is mossy and old-school classy. Good sillage.
Something really different but so intriguing is the Comme des Garcons Incense line. Try Avignon or one of the others. Get samples from Luckyscent, they are really interesting.
Cheers,

Two that I bought recently are Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme (available at Macy's, Von Maur, etc.) and Tom Ford Extreme (exclusive at Saks). The Gucci is reasonably priced, and you can get a gift set with the flanker shampoo and aftershave, which - I was delighted to discover - make it smell even better. Excellent stuff. I even got an Usher bag with the deal! The Tom Ford Extreme is expensive, and will set you back twice as much, but it's powerful stuff, and will last forever. Limited edition - probably still around for the holidays. Both of these are good frags for fall and winter. I sure wish I would have had Tom Ford Extreme back when I was a teenager... But I'm also interested in the Paco Rabanne Black XS mentioned above - so give that a try, too.
