Give Lizsport by Liz Claiborne a shot, then.
We accidentally discovered this gem just today and WOW are the two similar!

Lizsport goes on a little femme (as does West Side), but dries down (again, as does West Side) to a brilliant white musk. Further, it's about 1/10th the price of West Side if you buy it (Lizsport) at Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx!
