Favorite Perfumer

I never have seen this posted but I am sure it probably has but I couldn't find it. I know that just because a perfumer made something you like, it doesn't mean you will like the rest of their creations. I have run across several perfumers that I do like several of their scents such as Jean-Claude Ellena (declaration, terre de hermes) Jacques Cavallier (Bulgari PH, Issey Miyake, M7, Rive Gauche) and Annick Menardo ( Jaipur, lolita lempicka).

That's tough! Jaques Polges, the Guerlains, Patricia de Nicolai are a few off the top of my head.

Miller Harris & Jean-Claude Ellena

Here are the appropriate links that pertain to your query.

Funnily enough, they were returned when entering "favourite perfumer" into the search function.
Please be mindful that it is a site feature that ought to be consulted before any new thread is created.

I personally go for Edmond Roudinitska's creations and I'm trying to collect them all (Eau Sauvage, Eau d'Hermes, Moustache, etc.). I'd have to put Ellena and Polge tied for a close second.

Well I can tell you who's creations I DON'T seem to like: Ellena !
Terre, Jardin sur le Nil, Declaration etc non seem to click with me...anyone else?

Dimitri,

Funnily enough in the USA we do not spell favorite perfumer "favourite perfumer". I did search by favorite perfumer and nothing came up.
Also please read my first sentence where I clearly state that I
never have seen this posted but I am sure it probably has but I couldn't find it.
So before you do any further scolding please be mindful and read my post not just the title.
Thank you and I am sorry if I sound harsh but your post seemed inappropriate.

There was no ill intent meant whatsoever.

However, it is the role of all the moderators to remind new users (particularly those with a handful of posts under their belt), to use the search function properly.
This is an international community, and therefore keywords in the search terms will reflect the different nationalities present here. You will thus find that the spelling of words like favour, colour and honour and many other words vary from country to country.

Thanks for your cooperation. And, you will find there is a wealth of information in the links I've provided.

I can't believe it! I have an answer! I feel like a kid at the grown up table and not like a neophyte! I have an answer.

Pierre Bourdon. (He's retired though)

Annick Menardo made Jaipur? I didn't know that. I like her Hypnotic Poison, but I'm not fanatical about her Bulgari Black. What a crazy random happenstance that I'm trying Jaipur today!

Wow, what a question! I know I've seen questions like this before, but to reflect upon the many choices once again is healthy. There will always be a special place in my heart for Sophia Grosjman and I love the classic Ernest Daltroff compositions! Roudnistka, Ellena, Cresp, Cavallier, Annick Menardo, Bourdon, Polge, Christopher Sheldrake without a doubt, have created some of the most beautiful and wearable frags on the market. Happily, my list of favorites seems to grow. I think that means I'm growing too!

I have to agree with ubuandibeme's choices of Grosjman, Daltroff, Roudnistka, Sheldrake, and Ellena (both Ellena's actually). I also love Linda Pilkington, Patricia de Nicolai, and Guy Robert.
