I'm testing a few new scents:
Parfum d'Empire Yuzu Fou and Aziyade
Olivier Durbano Jade
My thoughts so far are that Yuzu Fou is a generic, but very nice citrus I think longevity is going to be the deciding factor here since citrus scents are notorious for their lack of longevity. If this one lasts, it could do well with those who like fresh citrus scents. Personally, I'm not a citrus guy.
Aziyade is really interesting. It is very fruity and very sweet, which would normally be a death knoll for me, but this somehow reminds me of my childhood in a good way - candy, soft drinks, maybe a bit of my older sister's incense filtering though. The jury is still out on this one.
Jade is very, very sharp which puts me off a bit, but it is also very green, which I like. It really smells very little like the other Durbano offerings. I don't see me buying this one right now, but my nose keeps going back to it, which means further testing. It's definitely not subtle, and it's sort of like Irish Spring jacked up a bazillion percent, which is not entirely appealing. We'll see.
I'll be interested in hearing what others think of these new fragrances.
