Pierre Bourdon retired? According to Lucky scent, yes, he did.
http://www.luckyscent.com/shop/categ...=447&section=1

He is the Creator of
Christian Dior Dolce Vita
Davidoff Cool Water
Escada Escada
Frederic Malle French Lover
Frederic Malle Iris Poudre
Yves Saint Laurent Kouros
Yves Saint Laurent Live Jazz

Perhaps he can now tell us if he is also the nose behind GIT... sorry if I do not believe you GIT fans. I had to say it one last time

I could only hope to have such a resume when I'm ready to retire. He is a true genius.

Yes, according to Luca, he was the nose behind Green Irish Tweed. The reason it was of higher complexity and depth is because in that iteration, he was given a bigger budget.

well, as far as I know from my Moscow friend, Pierre still working for some Russian company named Faberlic. That`s like retirement work at home.
He made a lot of perfumes for them also - with less budget, but still good
I`ve got two colognes by Bourdon for Faberlic (impressive), and I think that he still has around 10 great but never released formulas

This guy is amazing. The 2 malle he has created are gorgeous.

Live jazz is very nice as well.

I posted almost a year ago, about Bourdon's news of retirement, on the Fragrance Industry board here: http://community.basenotes.net/showthread.php?t=202997

Thanks Mike, that thread quite is old and I did not bother to go to the second page of my Bourdon Search. I guess I am the last one to get the 'news'. I did see you thread yesterday though. I was looking for a picture of Jacques Cavallier for the "post the picture of a perfumer" thread. Google returned you avatar as a result. Back then the kid had his head shaved.
