A challenge for you all: Wardrobe reduction

I know this has been done before, but humor me, let's do it again.

Your SO has informed you that she/he is no longer going to tolerate two entire drawers of your dresser filled with frags. You can keep only 5 bottles from you current Basenotes wardrobe; which do you keep.

Here are mine:

1. Guerlain Vetiver
2. Terre d'Hermes
3. Kyoto (CdG)
4. Yatagan
5. Cuba (Czech&Speake)

No cheating; only frags from you current BN wardrobe.

I'd tell her to give away most of her shoes and then I'd get rid of my fragrances too. I know she won't let go of a single pair of her shoes and so I get to keep my frags too

Dior Homme Intense

Ah, you made me giggle with this one.

I'd tell her to sod off. Give someone an inch and they'll take a mile...
She'd have to pay me to get rid of them.

Let's not forget the handbags, the one million so-called 'friends' she has on Facebook, the myriad of fashion accessories she owns exclusively for each colour of the rainbow and the clothes she never wears but feels the need to keep them in her wardrobe (some even with their price tags still attached)...

It is much easier to find new spouse/girlfriend than to rebuild the collection anew; and I am a huge partisan of easier solutions in life.
However, I understand that your question was strictly hypothetical, so my answer would be: Eau dHermès, Obsession for Men, Zino Davidoff, Bel Ami and Narciso Rodriguez for Him.

Agree with most of the above, but for the game:

1. Mitsouko EDP
2. Iris Silver Mist
3. DK Gold
4. Knize Ten
5. Bvlgari Black

What he said. Of course I had to really play out this scenario when I evacuated and had to pick the few bottles that would travel with me.

But for the point of the game (as of today):

Dior Homme Intense (gourmand)
Chanel Coromandel (patchouli)
Parfumerie Generale Cuir d'Iris (leather)
Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir (citrus)
Guerlain Derby (chypre/masculine)

First of all, I'd be convinced that he didn't really love me, but I'll play along for the sake of the thread. At the moment, I'd say I'd have to keep:

LV Piper Nigrum
LV Vetiver
Parfum d'Empire Eau de Gloire
L'Artisan Passage d'Enfer
MPG Eau de Iles

Doing this made me realize how impossible it would be for me, in reality, to get down to just five. How could I ever chuck Domenico Caraceni or my Fou d'Absinthe and Dzing! There's no way I could just throw out my Yatagan and Kouros. Now that I think about it, I think if my SO suggested this, he'd have to hit the road.

I'll play too (I shudder at the thought of having to reduce my collection... it would never happen)

Musc Ravageur
L'Air du Desert Marocain
COMME des GARCONS 2 Man
Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta
Hermessence Vetiver Tonka

P.S - I'd hide Prada Infusion d'Homme somewhere...

For some this could be subtly different from the top 5. Suppose I madly love a certain style and my favorite 5 fragrances smell very similar, but if forced to keep just 5 fragrances I might want some diversity. (Maybe none of my top 5 are quite suitable for hot days, for example.)

Being something of an abstract thinker and a slow decision maker I'll punt on answering the O.P.'s question.

If it came to it, probably

Obsession for Men
Givenchy Gentleman
Polo Green
Rapport
Jules

But I'd hate to be without Cerutti 1881 or FCUK 3 for sentimental reasons.

NO!!! I wont play! He can go clean out the @$!king garage! He can be replaced! It's my dresser anyway!
Eau D'Hadrien
Ormond Jayne Woman
Black Aoud
Azuree
Sous les Vent

But I'm really gonna miss #19, Miss Dior, Mitsouko......

I'm the one with all the shoes and too many clothes. He's got too many books and magazines.
Here's what I hate: recycling!!! Another word for : Living with garbage
