Good morning everyone. In fact, where are you all this morning?
Tigs is maybe still in bed with her cold (get well soon, Tiger!) but surely our Far Eastern friends are up and at 'em? Coconut?

Well, I smell lovely today again. I'm wearing Donna Karan's Chaos from an original spiky bottle that Alicka snagged for me. What a star! (Alicka, as well as the perfume.) I like it a lot. Thank goodness they've reissued it.

Well, another busy housewife day for me, so I must go and get on with it.

I'm wearing Musc Bleu from Il Profumo. It is lovely but the lonegevity is very poor. I absolutely covered myself in it four and half hours ago, but can barely smell it now. However, it may be still detectable to other noses, so I will resist applying something over it for a few hours yet.

Forgot to apply perfume this morning and so rummaged around my handbag to find an atomiser of Versace Woman, so that was my SotD. Later tested Madame X (Ava Luxe) and now in L de Lolita Lempicka.

OOO my EYES! Good morning everybody.Today is the last day before we(my studygroup)have to hand in the assignment in Sociology.I'm usually very much in the last minute for these things,but for once I feel like everything is under control Sotd is Trouble.Weird how my impression of the scent changes if i haven't worn it in a while.Today I can defenitely detect the cedar and peach quite well. Happy birthday to all the birthday kids!Have FUN!!!!

Happy Birthdays all around....

Cool late autumn day here – wearing a lavender cashmere v neck and my favorite pale grey jcrew trousers, it seems like divine intervention now that I’m sampling D'Hiver, courtesy of an incredibly generous Lush Soup.

It’s not what I thought it would be. It’s very spare and I mean that in the best sense of the word. I don’t smell a whole lot going on but then again, I feel like I am missing anything either. I know understand the all the love this fragrance gets.

Today I'm back to incense... debated being a lemming to Scentson SMM and going with Jubilation XXV, but then realized I hadn't given L'Occitane Eau de Beaux a full wearing in awhile. Yummy and sweet, very warming on this cold bright day.

Happy Birthday to silverbullet, eric, jellybean1973 and KMF! And to my sweet Mom too! She's getting a care-package of some spray samples I've put together and a full bottle of Tocade (a pretty safe bet) tonight to start her off well this year. If she likes the samples who knows what else she'll end up with; we'll see if she's a Coco, Mitsouko, Shalimar, or Gucci Rush type (she complimented me on Rush one day). I may add more, but I don't want to overwhelm her. She doesn't wear perfume much due to allergies, so I'm starting slow. She used to wear Tabu (um, a LOT of Tabu), so who knows? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Coco. May it be a good year for all!

This morning I'm wearing Jasmin Noir. Initially green, and then synthetic jasmine sambac and licorice. It's a bit department-store-ish but I think I like it just the same.

Happy Birthday wishes to all celebrating today!

I am wearing Daisy by Marc Jacobs today. Just got it and I have to say that it's a safe scent for days where you want to feel fresh and light but be inoffensive. I don't perceive it as such a young scent as some other reviewers have indicated. The fruity opening notes come on stronger and then it mellows out till you can finally smell a very subtle vanilla. I can see me wearing this for early morning meetings and such.

My nose is on the mend, thankfully, and I am wearing Serge Lutens Clair de Musc. I know a lot of people say that it's an overpriced musk, but I think it has an ethereal quality to it.

I'm in incense and vanilla, with a quick splash of lemon - Shalimar EDP layered with Shalimar lotion. Skin is dry due to excessive central heating.

Calling Leesee and other Amouage lovers:

After turning my nose up at Gold a few days ago, I'm trying Gold pour femme again tonight, plus Dia pour femme on the other hand. I had samples sprayed on cards at the store today, and the cards bear little resemblance to what is floating from my skin.

Gold on the card is very lovely - a lively floral without being heavy, and I get a zing of fruit, like melon.
Gold on my hand is dirtier and heavier, with a cumin note that I don't like

Dia on card pleasant, a little powdery, rather bland.
Dia on my hand is riddled with incense; not bad, and if I wanted incense I wouldn't turn it down

My own Amouage samples (or miniatures) are approximately 2 years + old, and rarely out of their handsome padded box. The ones I tried in the store looked repackaged in brighter boxes, though the miniature bottles looked much the same.

But they smell like different 'fumes.
