Lacoste Eau de Sport?

So I just got a few bottles of Lacoste Eau de Sport. I purchased these blind thinking they were the Jean Patou Lacoste Eau de Sport listed in the directory. This is not the same thing. The bottle is totally different. Looking it up I was able to find information on it here:

http://www.osmoz.com/fragrances/Spor...e/Eau-de-Sport
http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/L...Sport-784.html

The strange thing is I can't find this selling anywhere except perfumart.com, not even on ebay. I don't even see it listed in the Basenotes directory.

The back of the box says
"Stimulating and spirited, l'Eau de Sport from Lacoste is an invigorating eau de toilette that combines fresh menthol, lemon notes with the woody notes of vetiver and sandalwood."

The ingredients are listed as:
SD Alcohol 39-C, water, fragrance, ginseng, menthol

The fragrance is actually really good. I get an initial menthol and herbal mix, settling down to some vetiver and patchouli. It reminds me in a way of the discontinued Hugo Boss Sport.
Has anyone else had any experience with this fragrance?

Shouldn't the bottle look like this one?

I got a full (100 ml) but unboxed bottle of this one, for about 30 Euros.I don't know if I payed too little or too much, since I cannot find another bottle on offer,at any price.I sprayed my arm once, and the similarities compared to Lacoste Original (which was launched 10 years before) were disturbing.
By comparing the pyramids, one finds that they share too many common ingredients...

What is the relationship between Jean Patou and the vintage Lascoste Eau de Sport?

Edit: I see that Patou scents and Eau de Sport (and Booster) share the same perfumer, but that doesn't usually carry over into the branding on the scent. Did perfumers used to work directly for certain companies? Or did Patou and Lacoste have some relationship?
