Mauboussin Homme Eau de Parfume

Today I received my bottle of this fragrance - when I first obtained a bottle of Mauboussin for men it was the Eau de Toilette version a few years back. I was a fan of the women's version when I first smelled it at Nordstrom.

I recall the men's edt having a lavender note contrasted with spice and vanilla - the edt started strong then faded to a very soft skin scent.

I always knew a EDP version exisited now finally got my hands on it. It is very rich spicy and sweet with mega sillage - it is very much in the same strenght as I recall the women's version to be. The kind of scent that says "Here I am - I've Entered The Room!"

To my nose I seeing this as Opium EDP blended with Hypnose Homme -

Scentimus,

I, too, had bought Mauboussin edt 3 or 4 years ago and wasn't too won over by the edt. But based on your experience with the edp it must be a world away and better in this formulation.

That sounds about right to me.

Mauboussin Homme EDT--------------------------Mauboussin Homme EDP

The EDT was developed in 2003 by Alberto Morillas. Typically, there is little to no information about the EDP.

I own Mauboussin Homme EDP and it is one of the most elegant, lovely scents that I own. I have never sampled the EDT version, but the EDP is rich and fragrant, without a trace of synthetics. I agree with foetidus's review of this one. It is indeed "elegance and refinement personified." The EDP does have good longevity, although it does remain close to the skin. Mauboussin Homme EDP is a fragrance that merits the consideration of those fragrance aficionados who seek an oriental fougere that makes a subtle, yet exceptionally classy statement.

I was not aware that there was a men's edp version. Thanks for the information. I will acquire and try this one.

I don't find any difference between the two other than that the EDP lasts longer on the skin.
