Not sure which one you mean, but you can purchase any of the dozen or so fraqgrances that Pinaud makes online from ebarbershop.com at: thegentsshop.com Pinaud has taken over all of these old barbershop fragrances that used to go under the brand names of Jeris, Lustray and Pinaud. I got interested in these a while back and tried them all out - the best of the bunch in my opinion are:

Pinaud Special Reserve - spicey leather
Clubman - soft sweet fougere
Pinaud Coachman - musk fougere
Lilac Vegetal - floral green vetiver

These fragrances are really inexpensive and are sort of watered down in order to splash onlliberally. But, the are pretty good. I like the Special Reserve quite a bit.

You want suggestion for those with the same aura of these old barbershop frags?

I think you already know of many of these, but I would suggest:

Jockey Club by Caswell and Massey
Rive Gauche pour Homme
Azzaro pour Homme
L'Homme Sage by Divine

these all have a bit of the aurua and barbershop feel.

I bought 480 ml bottles from TJ Maxx
Berdoues 1902 Eau de Cologne---Vetiver, Lavender and Naturelle

Very barber shop like fragrances that can be liberally applied and they smell nice too.

YSL Rive Gauche is like an updated version of Canoe by Dana. Can't say anything about the rest because I don't know them.

Might want to check out Penhaligons stuff too.

Okay, take Clubman. It's a classic fougere, based on lavender and coumarin. There's a lot of fougeres out there, but only so many keep it to the sweet simplicity of Clubman.

So, how many good-quality classic fougeres are out there? Hmm...

There's Rive Gauche pour Homme, Caron pour un Homme (my personal favorite), Lanvin L'Homme (under-rated). Penhaligon's English Fern. Yardley Gentlemen.

I could go on, but those are a few. Buy the Caron, it's very good.

I love the classic Barbershop scent. It's really all I wear. Here are my two suggestions:

Rive Gauche PH...Sophisticated Barbershop scent

Royall Muske...Classic Barbershop scent, (only buy the "Made in Bermuda" version...If you can find it)

I wear both of these for any occasion, including work. At the end of each day, my wife loves to get close to me while we watch TV. She frequently comments on how nice it smells to be near me.

Co-workers have equally complimented both, as have complete strangers.

And best of all...all of the kids in the family immediately recognize their "Uncle Shaun" by the way I smell. Nothing beats a 6 year old that tells you how good you smell.
