Give me the Beach Pleaze

I found out a few weeks back that i will receive some unexpected Monatary founds for x-mas ( YIPPY! ) and will spend $150-$200 on some fregs.

Looking for something that smells like the beach

I have Bronze goddess but am looking for others

I tried Beyond Paradise Blue last nite on paper and it seemed beachyish, Is that accurate? If so, i will go back and try some on the wrist.

What else is out there?

btw I havent been to the Beach in many years, so i am not tring to find something that smells like the Beaches of Brazil or anything, just anything that is Beachyish.

Thanks

Good morning, Naking.
This is a much discussed topic here so you have the option of reading a bit and then focusing your question. When you're done reading these threads a number of veteran Basenoters will appear at your door and we'll spend an evening recreating a beach experience using scent strips and cleverly improvised oceanic mouth sounds. People make some useful distinctions between aquatic, beach and oceanic scents. You want cocoa butter in yours? Pina colado mix? I like the third thread in particular. Cheers.

Dang you basenoters, why you gotta make things so complicated J/K

How about this.
What frags do you think smell like the beach? Give me alot to try out.

Out of Sculptureofsouls list, the only one that works is VIW but thats to expensive, i would like to get 2 or 3 frags, so i'll wanna spend between $50-$70 a bottle and i only buy 100ml-125ml sizes.

And yes i was to lazy to do any research b4 i posted. SORRY.

Mare by creative universe Beth Terry happens to be one the best in this domain here is the link.. http://www.luckyscent.com/shop/detai...0403&section=1

and then there is Sand Flowers by Montale .. you could directly buy a 50ml of this one from montale for 40-50 Euros...

Ah yes, I forgot about Sandflowers. A very beachy scent indeed. Quite linear though and I wouldn't exactly call it a safe blind buy.

Eau des Merveilles is my "take-me-to-the-beach" scent. One whiff and I'm instantly transported to a sunny beach where I feel the salty sea air against my sun-baked skin. It's not so much about suntan lotion, no pineapple or coconut note in sight. I have a hard time wearing this to work though, I tend to daydream too much while wearing it. (and while it is from the girl's side of the shelf, I think it would be great on a man, too!)

I also will say Bond Fire Island if you are looking for something that has a suntan lotion note.

I know Virgin Island Water is expensive, but I think it is what you are looking for. Smells awesome and lasts all day on me.

My fave is Profumum's Acqua di Sale but it's really expensive. My other favorite is Calypso Christian Celle's Calypso Marine. They both avoid twin shoals of insipid melon on one side and harsh iodine/metallic on the other, and they both do a good job of suggesting both water and vegetation. Happy hunting.

I actually went on a recent quest for marine frags, and here is what I found out. I don't really like em'!
BUT... of the ones I tried, the best ones were Hyle by Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561, which smells, to me at least, like an exact replica of the beach. The other fav is Erolfa, but unlike most other opinions I think it smells far less like the beach than some of these other "photo-realistic" beach scents and just conjures images of the beach, because of that I find it far more wearable than the other ones I tried, and thusly liked it the best. Another worth trying is Aria di Mare by Il Profumo but it was a little gimicky to me, powdery, breezy, sun-drenched beach, not wearable enough for me. Of course if you really are going to do this right, the obligatory recommendation must be Aqua di Sale , even though I never tried it, many swear by its authenticity towards the smell of the beach. Good Luck!
