Question: Thinking about layering Givenchy Pi with something. Any recommendations?

I have a Christmas party tonight and I feel like wearing Pi, but want to bring it up a notch and perhaps layer it with something else. If any of you have had success with layering it with something that has proven to be a success, I would be grateful to know the combination. I have somewhat of a collection. A few of my possible pairins with Pi may be: Solo by Loewe, Le Male (perhaps that would just turn into a vanilla overburn), Millioinaire by Paco Rabanne, The One by D & G, or perhaps even Terre D'hermes. I wonder which would bring out more wood from the Pi, that is the aspect I really like about it. The reason I"m thinking about layering it, is because I find the drydown is sometimes just vanilla and vanilla only. Thanks in advance.

Pi is very strong and distinctive on its own. It is not a good candidate for layering in my opinion. Also, a Christmas party may not be the best place for layering experiments. Do that in private first before taking your creations public. But, I will admit that I am not a big fan of layering. There are plenty of fragrances, and they are generally made to stand on their own.
As much as I dislike Pi, it might not be a bad choice for a Christmas party - it smells a lot like a vanilla Christmas candle.

Apply Pi and then layer it with Soap. Scrub.

I agree with everything you said except that Pi is not a good candidate for layering. IMO, it is an incomplete scent, and it would definitelly benefit from layering it with something musky or spicy.

LOL. agreed. Pi is very strong; I could not imagine layering that stuff; you would make people sick to their stomachs. Imagine layering Pi with Jaipur? Wow, you would kill people.

If there was a fragrance that smelled of a warm, thick woolen sweater that is what I would layer Pi with. Out of the frags you listed I couldn't imagine Pi with any of them.

Something smokey, and/or Indian Mitti oil. That will probably work as long as you don't go overboard with the Pi.
