The few thing I bought on the Tarte website with a 30% off promotion arrived today. The long wear lipstick & case is nice. I will get a lot of use there.
But when will I learn that "dewy finish " in eye make up is a code word for ...full of glitter. not good for me
post #309 of 387
Bought another Chanel blush Orchid Rose Euro version. There was a different shade with the same name in the US which is discontinued. The Euro version, is just my fav blush at the moment. The perfect mix of peach/rose.

Makeup Forever High Definition foundation. It's a little heavy, but I flip flop between natural and dense coverage and apply with Laura Mercier makeup sponge.
My first Chanel eyeshadow quad (Prelude)! Not sure it was worth the $$ over cheaper eyeshadows, but I sure do feel chic applying and wearing it.

Also, another YSL glossy stain (#10, a great true-to-slightly-cool red) and a couple of the L'Oreal knock-offs of the YSL glossy stains (which aren't bad! And much cheaper.).

I'm contemplating a purchase of the new Armani Maestro foundation. I think I really like it, based on the sample I've been using. The formula is unlike any other foundation that I've tried and seems to work well on my skin. But, MAN, is it pricey. Anyone here have it, like it, dislike it?
I own the Armani foundation, I am shade 4. Its very watery in texture, but just seems to blend into the face like magic. Actually works best if you just use your fingers to apply, I spot on extra where I need it. You don't really need to powder over the top of it.

I bought two more lipsticks from SpaceNK's sale Kevyn Aucoin Heartbreaker a rose bronze and Guilty and med pink shade. Plus Kevyn Aucoin eyeshadow in Whisper again half price in the sale.

Cool -- thanks, Donna! That confirms my impression. I love the not needing a powder over it. It also seems to last pretty well without touchups.

The past couple of weeks I've been using Amazing Face Cleansing Balm, by Emma Hardie.
So good and totally worth the hype.
Take a small amount of the oily goop, add a drop of warm water, then massage into your face for a few minutes. I take it off with a microfibre cloth.
Leaves my skin incredibly soft and isn't in the least drying. I was worried the oil would cause me to break out, but no such problems.
Only downside is the cost - £30 for a pot. If it continues to perform as well, I'll be repurchasing.

I just ordered some nail polishes today: OPI A Butterfly Moment and two Mavala polishes, Vibrant Pearl and Platinium Marble. I'm a little worried about the Butterfly Moment. I haven't seen it "live", and the beauty of it probably depends a lot on your skin tone. Well, I'm lucky to have two daughters so I guess it'll find a home somewhere. :-)

Recently I bought Clinique's Non-Streak Gel Bronzer for men. It's fantastic. I don't go a day without it. As a Brit in America I do look very, very pale compared to some people. I just add a tiny, tiny bit of this to my moisturiser in the morning and it gives me a bit of a glow for the whole day. It looks very natural and you simply wash it off at the end of the day.
