MdG is one I often reach for when going out to dinner because it's so traditional and restrained, and seems not to distract from what's on my plate. I tried
Eau Sauvage, with which
MdG shares a basic attitude, again the other day in Sephora and loved it. There's a lot to be said for these gentlemen's eau de colognes from the 50's and 60's. I used to find them just boring but now I find them interestingly subdued. They are the dry humor, the clap on the shoulder to denote affection between guyguys, of the perfume world. Check out this
