Which of these two classics gives most enjoyment?

Boucheron Jaipur and Guerlain Vetiver.
Two classic and world-wide-success fragrances.. Different yet very elegant.
But which of them do you prefer? Do you like Warm and sweet, or fresh and harsh?

I prefer Guerlain Vetiver over Boucheron Jaipur.

GV is an extremely versatile scent and I've seen that it works extremely well in all seasons. I've used it in winter, summer and when its raining and it never disappoints.

Jaipur however is mostly a winter scent and it has too much tonka in the basenotes for my liking. Infact I got rid of my Jaipur edp because it wasn't to my liking.

I like Vetiver however something about it feels off-putting and makes me feel far too "young" to wear it. It has been a while since I've tried it though, so will have to revisit. I havent tried Jaipur yet.

Guerlain Vetiver

I like both, but if I had to choose one of the two it would be Guerlain Vetiver.

Both are excellent fragrances but, I would, without doubt, choose Bourcheron Jaipur.

Maybe there is an age thing here. I like them both. The opening of Jaipur is really wonderful. But Vetiver is more interesting to me in the way that it balances hesperides, blond tobacco and a slightly rooty but light vetiver. I prefer it for the same reasons I now prefer peatier Scotch and hopsier IPA's and sadder movies and bigger skies: the world is big and messy, and art that says something coherent about it without excluding the messiness brings me great pleasure.
Both are really fine frags but Vetiver is considered a classic for excellent reason.

This time of the year Jaïpur Homme a bit more. In Spring, and in the the Summer months I prefer Guerlains Vetiver.

Guerlain Vetiver is a very comforting scent. From the citrus/tobacco opening through the soapy vetiver drydown it's definitely my go to scent.

Apples to oranges. Love them both for different reasons. The Guerlain is a far more important fragrance, but Jaipur is nothing to sneeze at.

Adore them both, but I'd choose Jaipur over the Guerlain Vetiver. Why? Because I can still use Vetiver Frozen

Different things.
But I prefer GV.
I even would prefer Habit Rouge to Jaipur pour homme! at least they both are from the same citrus-powdery department.

I prefer the Vetiver. I love it and wear it often.
