Rive Gauche was one of my favorite scents, so I was pretty excited when the Intense version came out. I ordered a decant from a fellow B'noter and honestly, I've never been so repulsed by a fragrace; so much so that it ruined my appreciation of the original. I can't put in to words why; it just smelled horrible to me. It was powerdy to the extreme, combined with something dark and dank.

M7 is the king here.

rive gauche. total classic.

m7 smells like Robotussin. gross.

i have not tried rive gauche intense, but i've heard good things about it (aside from butthead's post above...heh)

Never tried Rive Gauche Intense.

I like the regular Rive Gauche and I think M7 smells like something a woman would wear.

Rive Gauche beats M7 anytime, so that one's my pick.
However I, too, have yet to try the intense version.

I think I can safely say, despite having never smelled either RG, I'd go with M7. It's phenomenal once (if) it clicks with you. Not a safe blind buy though.

Rive Gauche.

Using my second M7. Gave the first away, then thought i should give it another chance. I am still "trying to appreciate" the agarwood note. A great frag, regardless. I am sure i am the impatient one.

Have not tried RG intense. I chose RG .... I have M7 old bottle and need to give that a full wear but im scarred. RG is just a classic.

Have tried all three. Love Rive Gauche, like RG Intense but found it less enjoyable than its non-intense brother. I clearly don't "get" M7 as found the oudh topnote very offputting and ended up giving bottle away.

So for me it's Rive Gauche by a distance.

RGPH.
I love the M7's olfactory category (Oriental Woody) but even if M7 is in my wardrobe I don't use it very often.
I prefer other Oriental Woody scents as Allure ph, Roma Uomo.
RGPH is a "I can't stop to smell my arm" scent.

Boy how I like these bumpers

Changed my mind. Now, although not by far, M7 would get my vote. Still havent tried the intense I can fairly certain say that I vallue both almost equally but M7 just does mor for me.
