"The proper gentleman." Despite being created in 1970; this fragrance is quite wearable today. The opening blast starts off a bit floral and with a rather dry sweetness. I almost think I am getting a hint of anise (??). I am not as skilled as my peers in identifying notes but I swear I smell it. As the floral notes start giving way; the pine notes begin to dominate. The middle notes have a certain old school sophistication such as the original Polo by Ralp Lauren. Within an hour, the pine notes begin to mix with, what smells like, a musky sweetness; almost animalistic and fresh. I really like this fragrance a lot; one of my faves.
