Nice - but in a head-to-head with Borneo 1834, I'm thinking I like the B1834 more. Need to wear this again, though.

This time from a full bottle instead of a sample. I think that this excellent fragrance very much deserves a place in my wardrobe!

Morning: Geir Ness Geir
Afternoon and Evening: biehl parfumkunstwerke gs01

gs01 is one of Geza Schön's creations for biehl parfumkunstwerke. In my opinion, it is one of the two best in the whole collection (along with Arturetto Landi's al02). The opening of gs01 is the real winner here. Very fresh and green, but not overpoweringly so. If only Schön could have preserved the top notes throughout the lifetime of the fragrance, it would have been perfect. In any case, the opening is so good I eventually judged gs01 to be full-bottle worthy. I'll just have to spray it more frequently. Oh well ...

Serge Lutens Cuir Mauresque

OMG!! How utterly over the top wonderful! This is one of many fragrances that are substantially different when worn as opposed to sniffing on the back of your hand.... on my hand I was nit-picky about some of the underlying floral notes, but when body-worn this stuff explodes into a rich, smooth, and most of all sensual leather. If Knize Ten is the equivalent of laying on a leather sofa while wearing a leather jacket, and if Cuir d'Iris is the equivalent of walking into a leather goods store, Cuir Mauresque would be like laying down naked in the back of brand new Bentley. Gorgeous, and one of the top 5 leathers ever.

More snow more shoveling but now I am watching football and luxuritaing in the other bottle I got in the mail yesterday:

Ajmal Amber Khaalis

Despite the name this is not amber this is a dark deep mixture of spice and green notes. This is an intense olfactory experience and I am quite enjoying it. This is my first exposure to these oils and they are incredibly complex and revealing. I'll write more once I've had a little more experience with them.
Have a happy Sunday everyone.
