Allright, you pick the number 5 is too short, 51 too long, so I thought that . . .

Well, offhand:

You've Got to Have Heart----------Damn Yankees ( 'Whatever Lola Wants' should not be ignored, either.)
Send In The Clowns-----------------A Little Night Music
Who Can I Turn To? ---------------Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of The Crowd
Tomorrow-------------------------------Annie (Best one to blast on full to annoy your neighbors, btw.)
They Were You----------------------The Fantasticks
You'll Never Walk Alone----------Carousel. Here's Mario Lanza's version:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duZneRxX3so
Ol' Man River--------------------------Showboat
Somewhere----------------------------West Side Story

Absolutely Anything in " My Fair Lady. "

And last, for now, The Impossible Dream---Man of La Mancha--this is Brian Stokes Mitchell blowing the roof with it; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZE4KGB6Wt4

Your Turn

Mario, with the exception of Tomorrow, I love everything on your list.

I'll add:

Seasons of Love-------------------------------Rent
Try to Remember------------------------------The Fantasticks
Tradition; Sabbath Prayer; To Life--------- Fiddler on the Roof
Don’t Rain on My Parade---------------------Funny Girl
One-----------------------------------------------A Chorus Line
Another I love is Promises, Promises. Here it is, as sung by Dionne Warwick. Total goosebumps.

My dad raised me on musicals. On occasion, he used to belt out songs from Oklahoma or South Pacific. He has a great voice, but with his accent, he'd never make it into a musical. I more recently introduced him to "Camelot", "Anything Goes" and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

In no particular order:

1. "Tell Me on a Sunday" -- Song and Dance
2. "O What a Beautiful Morning" -- Oklahoma (I didn't know Hugh Jackman could sing!!)
3. "How to Handle a Woman" -- Camelot (and I guess William Shatner can't.)
4. "Take Me To the Fair" -- Camelot
5. There is Nothing Like a Dame -- South Pacific ("We get letters doused with perfume. We get dizzy from the smell!")

Half. Really almost anything from "South Pacific"

Yeah, 5 and 1/2 isn't enough. I got more!

I've been meaning to contribute to this one.
I could have 5 1/2 from "The Music Man"!
1. Trouble in River City
2. Till there was you

3. If I was a rich man
4. Sunrise, sunset... both from Fiddler on the Roof

5. If ever I should leave you... from Camelot

Yes, five is not enough. I'm just getting started too.
so
6. Some Enchanted Evening... South Pacific

I'm partial to songs from musicals I participated in...and there are just too many great tunes to list...but I've always LOVED Sunrise, Sunset from Camelot. Evita! is probably my all-time favorite. * Let's not forget all the catchy tunes from Grease

"Sunrise, Sunset" is from "Fiddler on the Roof," ubuandibeme, but I know what you mean. my dad used to sing that to me when I was little before I had ever seen the musical. I know why now.
