The last and the only Amouage I've ever bought or tested was Amouage Jubilation XXV.....I was not too excited after I got my bottle and the fruity incense accord was not too pleasant to my nose....I should have learned from my mistake of buying an Amouage blind, but obviously as you can see I didn't.
This latest blind buy today just happened due to the sheer temptation of buying a discontinued Amouage. I was also intrigued by the lead crystal bottle and I thought it'd be a good addition to my collection. Well coming down to the juice....I have the following scent pyramid
Top notes: Ylang ylang from the Comores and rich floral rose from Morocco.
Middle notes: Egyptian Jasmine and Madagascar clovebud.
Base notes: Undertones of frankincense, sandalwood, cedarwood and gaiac wood
I'd like to know if this is essentially a 'rose dominated' scent? I have read a lot of positive reviews in the directory and a lot of them point out that this is a stronger version of the current Amouage Silver cologne...
The seller even claims that Amouage Silver Cristal for men is a lighter, fresher, greener, rich frankincense version of the Amouage Original Gold fragrance. Is it true?
What have I got myself into? Did I just buy another frankincense bomb?
I've opened this thread so I could have a fresher perspective of members since most of the reviews in the directory are quite old. Thanks
