Which frags took a long time to love, or hate ?

I've found that some frags take a while to like, while others are enjoyable at first, but over time I find them less and less compelling. Obviously, this can occur for many different reasons, some of which may not be conscious, so feel free to discuss whether you think you know why.

It took me a while to appreciate Magnetism for men, I think because it was so different from the others I tried up to that point. The same may be true for Xeryus Rouge, but that also has a strong "synthetic" quality that I had to learn to ignore.

I liked Uomo? Moschino at first, but over time the notes seemed to clash too much. The same is true, but to a lesser degree, for A*Men. I think the tar note is just too strong in that one.

I had to work on Eau d'Hermes for a long time.... I knew it was genius, but it took a while for me to learn to process the cumin note. Now I don't even notice it as distinct but rather as part of the balance of the composition. Brilliant stuff.

terre d'hermes, after two attempts, was a complete no-go for me. third time around, and i LOVED it. it literally smells completely different to me now - even from the same sample.

It took me a long time to get over the 'cough syrup' quality in M7's opening. Strangely, now I don't smell the cough syrup at all, and I enjoy it from the very first moment it lands on my skin until it disappears entirely. I think part of the problem was overspraying (3-4 sprays) on my first few wears.

It took me a year and multiple wearings before No. 88 appealed to me.

Yes, I should've mentioned M7 too. The oud is something that you have to experience over a period of time.
