Similar fragrances to GIT/Ungaro III

I've grown very fond to both of these two scents, and I'm looking for a couple others in the same category. I consider each to be very fresh, clean, smooth, and have an overall "modern" feel without having the aqautic/marine/citrus notes that many frags have today.

Can anyone help me out?

With its nice muguet heart, Penhaligon's Quercus has the same green-floral vibe of Ungaro III.

Magnifiscent brings up a good point. It would help us to know if you like the green/floral masculines or if you just want to get a "modern," but non aquatic frag. If you would rather get something a bit different, yet "modern," try to sample Dunhill Desire.

Yeah something along the lines of a green/floral.

Not very similar, but i think you might like them as well:
Azzaro Pour Homme by Azzaro
Jazz by YSL
Safari for Men by Ralph Lauren
Pal Zileri by Pal Zileri
Trussardi Jeans Men by Trussardi
What about Adam by Joop!
Man in Blue by Abousson

and please tell us how the sampling went!

It's hard to find a fragarance similar to GIT (and I will now avoid the usual Cool Water similarity), but Ungaro III could be compared, up to a certian extent, to Guerlain Heritage, Zino Davidoff, Santos by Cartier, Rocabar by Hermes and Esencia Loewe.

I'm seconding the Freshman. Or 1802 by the same house.

Also, try Peckstiff's Fougere

Something that sort of straddles a middle road between them, green but modern, is Creed's own Green Valley.

For something quite similar in structure to GIT with a few variations try Cereus #7.
