Is compared to Eau Sauvage & seems like a sleeper from the reviews
I found a cheap bottle online, is it a good blind buy ?

IMO Cappooch is a heavier scent than the classy Eau Sauvage.
Cappo is leathery, spicy, a real 80's warhorse.
Eau Sauvage is nimble, elegant, more lemony. It is in the classic Eau de Cologne style, but with more than usual depth.
I don't care for Cappo but you may like it -- but it is no sense similar to Dior's ES.

I don't find it anything like the wonderful Eau Sauvage either. As a matter of fact, this one gave me a headache. Some posters said it was citrusy, but I did not find it citrus-based and found it kind of like how odysseusm described it. On me, it seemed more like a chypre and dated or had the "old guy" type of scent...maybe that's a result of its bay oil, moss and cistus. And no accord was distinct; it was like a jumble of notes. Or maybe I just got a bottle that had turned. Between this and R de Capucci, I'd prefer R, a more straight-ahead chypre with more character.
