Which Citrus?

Two part question here - and would love your input on both!

There's been some banter lately about Santa Maria Novella, so I ordered some samples (from Lafco NY). I liked the classic SMN, and I had also ordered Lorenzo Uomo. I like them well enough, but both seem very reminiscent of Acqua di Parma Colonia, which I have. Do you see a reason to add one of these?

I am looking for another lighter citrus for Spring and Summer. I have been considering L'eau de L'Artisan or Eau de Guerlain. Any thoughts on these two, or others who seem to fit into that lighter, citrusy, springy genre?

Thanks.

Habit Rogue Eau de Cologne has a noticeable citrus note(lemon) to it. Underscored by a powdery vanilla with a hint of leather. This concentration is definitely summer wearable.

A spring citrus?
If you liked L'Eau De L'Artisan, you should try (if you haven't):

Creed Selection Verte (and all the other creed citrus)
Hermes Concentre D'Orange Verte
Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte
Maitre Eau Pour Le Jeune
2008 Jacques Fath Green Water (A greener MPG Eau pour Le Jeune)
Profumum Aqua Viva
Miller Harris Tangerine Vert

here's a thread about lasting citrus, but most are light scents anyway: http://community.basenotes.net/showt...ghlight=citrus

If you are looking for predominantly citrus scents, then I would recommend Nina Ricci Signoricci and Czech & Speake Citrus Paradisi.

Have you tried Eau de Rochas and Eau de Rochas Homme? They are both my all-time favorite, citrus dominated, fragrances. The way they differ from your usual eaus is that they have long lasting dry-downs. EdR has patchouli in its base while EdRH uses myrhh to extend the fun. I would be careful where you purchase them though, I once received a very stale bottle from an online discounter. My bottles are from Duty Free and they're perfectly fresh.
I find that citrus dominated fragrances, due to their volatile oils, tend to turn much faster than other types. I've also received rancid YSL Pour Homme an online discounter.

If your thinking light, give Eau d'Hadrien, Annick Goutal, and Eau d'Orange Verte, by Hermès a try. If you want a sample of both pm me.
