Way different than Geurlain.
Much lighter, more citrusy/sweet, and no tobacco.
Guerlain's evokes a much darker shade of green.
I would suggest testing OV asap.

They are very different.

Get some samples to help you decide. No sense putting that kind of money at risk for something you might not like.

Ok

im assuming guerlains does since creed has quite a reputation for low longetivity

You can't assume that. Reputations like that don't always apply. Every user, every scent, every situation isn't alike.

Could go either way. I get great duration from Guerlain and I don't like OV enough to buy it so I can't say.

i would suggest (as many have already) you to sample Creed OV and at the same time, sample Adolfo Dominiguez Vetiver Hombre. ADVH is quite inexpensive and takes the same approach that Creed OV takes...however, OV gets really dry & in a way rusty towards base whereas AD VH retains it's freshness(OV's tops notes) all the way to the base...and longevity...? you could say it's Viagra on steroids...
