Need help with a Summer Cologne

I'm trying to find a good summer cologne. I want something light, refreshing, soapy and 'beachy' . I don't want anything creamy or with vanilla. Basically I love Tommy Hilfiger Summer 2005 but its becoming hard to find. I'm looking for something similar. And PLEASE nothing synthetic like Curve Wave. Oh and nothing ridiculously expensive like a Creed or Bond no. 9.

Have you tried Bvlgari Aqva or Aqva Marine? Seems to be a good summer choice and not outrageously priced.

No I haven't but I was actually very intrigued by reading the reviews. They look like one I'd like. Thanks!

Consider Escada Moon Sparkle (very smooth - reminds me of late-night beach parties!) Escada Sunset Heat (replace soapy with fruity) or Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts (replace soapy with boozy). Both can be found fairly easily for sub-30 bucks, and are awesome. Mugler Cologne fits all the criteria except for 'beachy'. I'd say it smells flat-out clean and soapy. Bulgari Aqua, any of the CK One Summer editions, Paul Smith Story, Dunhill Desire (Red, [sprayed lightly!]), are also very worth trying.

+1 on the Bulgari Aqua. It smells fresh without being overpowering or sweet, so it should fit the bill very nicely.

I was looking for something more youthful than Eau Sauvage. Thanks though

Bulgari Acqua marine sounds good for you.
I also suggest to try Hermès Eau des merveilles for something beachy and marine but totally different: it's marketed as a feminine scent but it's pretty unisex.

Aqua for sure. aqua marine is ok, but the original is a must try.

Issey Miyake for sure
the plain one

I don't see this scent as outdated, or whatever the opposite to youthful is. I have a big smile on my face from seeing this scent being suggested again. It's been a long winter...

Another that I would approve of it Mugler Cologne. It has fallen out of the spotlight but still a very good scent. Some others are: Blue Jeans, Cool Water, and Colonia. The last is a stretch but it is light and "beachy" in a way... Marc Jacobs men. Happy Hunting!

I think Joop Nightflight just might be what you're looking for

Surprised not to see acqua di gio here yet.

Acqua di Parma Colonia, is a wonderful lemon and rose with great longevity on me. Surely one of my go to summer fragrances.

Looks like a really good call. Definitely looks like something I'd like.

I think Nightflight is not a light summer scent. But who knows, give it a try.
I also recommend the summer variations of the CK Eternity and Versace pour homme!

You may be surprised by Chevignon by Chevignon. Great bang for the buck. Big bottles still around $20 and the juice smells great.

I wear it on a regular work rotation.
