Blu Mediterraneo - Arancia di Capri

It might be because of my Mediterranean complexion but a nice citrus works well on me. I was excited about trying AdP's Blu Mediterraneo - Arancia di Capri. The Original Colonia and Colonia Assoluta are among my favorite frags so it was almost a given that I'd found another winner. Not only that but it would be oranges instead of lemons, fun indeed!

Well I totally bummed out.

I'm struggling to believe that this product is made by the same company that makes such eloquent, minimalist, and understated products as the Colonia range. Colonia offers the user a brief but blissful development starting with the vibrant citrus and evolving to a beautiful herbal floral heart. Arancia di Capri just rams you with a synthetic orange cordial accord from start to end. Really, that's all I got: a one dimensional, synthetic, headache inducing orange.

Disappointing.

While I did not dislike it entirely, I still perceive this one as far to sweet and generic.

I tried this in a store and was not impressed. On the other hand, the Cipresso di Toscana is excellent and I bought a bottle.

I actually liked it, not enough to buy it because the longevity is horrible, but the actual citrus accord (which reminded me of tangerine rind) I really liked the smell of.
