Where else do you hang out Online?

As amazing as Notes is I also frequent www.deviantart.com and www.webshots.com quite often. I love photography, art, etc. and deviantArt allows you to create and display your own Gallery.

Do you guys have any other sites, blogs, online groups, message boards, (you get what I mean) where you frequent?

I presented this question to a friend of mine a while back and that is when I discovered deviantArt.

Best,

Otto

Primarily community based sites. I've cooled on a few of them, but still visit each of them. I frequent a good number of other sites, far to many to list.

http://forum.ironchariots.org/ (an atheist forum)

a sub-part of that is a weekly Atheist tv show from Austin streamed online, and they have a bi-weekly radio show. every episode is archived, so i listen often.

i go to www.stereogum.com they are a legit music blog that offers a ton of free mp3s of bands im already into

www.blackcabsessions.com which is a british novel idea of driving indie musicians around in a cab and filming them play. theres a few big names on there like brian wilson, death cab for cutie, and daniel johnston. so far theres 74 performances

i go to the Pinback forum which is one of my fav bands and i used to to the Mount Eerie/Microphones forum (fav musician) but the forum is down bc of spamming issues.

i have 4 youtube vids so i go there a bit.

i check out Sciencefriday.com and physorg.com.com (both are science sites)

and fark.com and drudgreport.com which are news aggregators. updated hundreds of times a day.

gamasutra.com which is THE site for gaming industry news. its very professional. not game news...game industry.

Pandora for my music fix, but they just keep me coming back...
Flickr... "feast your eyes" in every sense of the word, some of those people blow my mind.
Facebook, but its losing my interest... its a thing of my past that I check on out of guilt.
abc.com for Lost and Brothers & Sisters.
veoh.com, watchtvsitcoms.com for random movie interests... but that's hit or miss.

and my local library's website...

I've got a deviantArt account as well, it's quite ancient and I"m happy about that. Lately I've also been posting on...

www.kyddr.com - Kentucky Dance Dance Revolution players
www.Deceiver.com - Celebrity gossip and rumor mill (I know, it's terrible, but their writing style is amazing).
www.Repeat-Offenders.net - A site for my Coalition on City of Heroes, which I've started playing again recently.
www.Facebook.com - Because the world just wasn't creepy enough without it.
www.Failblog.org - Nothing better than enjoyment at someone else's expense. I actually read everything on that network, ICHC, Failblog, Engrish, UOAW, GraphJam, etc.
www.kroozeshaunt.com - I don't remember how I stumbled upon this site but I'm glad I did, it's a lot of video game reviews of old games (atari and intellivision to today) along with some Photoshop work of his, and I love the guy's writing style. Not so frequently updated so easy to keep up with.

OMG, how do you all find the time?!

I REALLY want to retire. I used to frequent the NY Times crosswords forum. Something had to give, so I haven't done the puzzles for a few years.

One forum is enough, if you have a job, relationship, hobby, or all three. Maybe you folks don't sleep?

Sigh. Don't mind me. I guess I'm just jealous.

FSTDT.com for comic relief. Don't stay too long, though, or it'll get depressing.

I go to http://www.specialedconnection.com/L...Tool/index.jsp every day to keep up on stuff related to work.

I read about a dozen fragrance-related blogs and visit MUA daily.

I am addicted to two online word games sites: http://www.isc.ro/ for Scrabble and http://games.yahoo.com/ for Literati (very similar to Scrabble)
Before playing these games online I used to do the NYT crossword puzzle (and the LA Times puzzle) everyday too Hunani. Now I cut out the puzzles from the newspapers and save them to do in doctors' and dentists' waiting rooms. The older I get, the more time I spend in waiting rooms.

I also go to Netflix everyday to watch movies online while I exercize.

I used to visit eBay daily but I'm weaning myself off it and visit it about three times a week now. I plan to be down to once a week by mid-March.

I check out youtube.com about once a week for music and comedy.

I check out http://www.woot.com/ almost every night.

Socalwoman, I can see joining you on those word game sites one of these days! Thanks for sharing the links. Great idea about the puzzles. I do print some out to take with me on vacations, but I think I'll put some on a clipboard in the car for those waiting room situations.
