Glad to see lievje and Shycat back! You now how much you both have been missed? Shy, how are the boys and the python doing?

Thank you for your kind words, exquisitely me! I used to sew seriously, like making a pattern, modifying it to the specific needs and cutting fabric, then joining the pieces together with a thread on a sewing machine. Better sense prevailed, now that almost everything can be purchased at the odd ball stores like Ross and Burlington Coat Factory. Stitching is for fun, relaxation, presents mostly.

Let's make it a true angeli-que day, I will put on a few drops of Guerlain Angelique Noire after dinner.

Oh my. Thank you all for your caring messages. I am overwhelmed and deeply touched

Wordbird - What sage advice you offered, to take time and "be truthful about how you feel". When my Dad died, I was sure that I quickly felt whatever emotions I had, but after considering what you said, I realize there might be some more deeply lodged feelings to encounter. I had a complicated relationship with my Dad, and while I've worked on dealing with this relationship over the years, I see it's very possible that I might discover some other feelings down the road.

Quarry – You threw me for a loop with your request to share another memory. O.K. I’m reflecting on one concept that my Dad introduced during one of the nightly “discussions” we all endured had at the dinner table when the family was growing up. Immortality. As long as we are remembered by others, we will live on. The concept was that being remembered is not exclusive to a being visualized in another’s conscious thoughts, for that memory will surely fade out after a few generations have gone by. But instead, remembrance, and hence immortality, is guaranteed by the values that one person passes on to another, which in turn unconsciously become part of the other. And cannot be forgotten. And will be passed from generation to generation.

Now, back to the lighter side of this board, I wore the beautiful, Spring-like Hermes Hiris today.

Lots going on today! Pomander, my sympathy to you and your family. I love what your father said about immortality being found in values that live on. That got me thinking appreciatively about the legacy of my departed family members. Thank you!

Lian, I love the image of a young lady in Bandit and high heels keeping the gents in check.

I had a productive, pleasant day. My SotD was/is Stephanie de Saint-Aignan's EMBRUNS D'AMBRE. An aquatic amber, very beautifully done, IMO. A new favorite for me.
